    Q
    Will Demon WP kill slugs?
    In a garden
    A
Demon WP will not work for slug control because of the mucus covering on the slugs. You can find all of our slug control products here: Slug Control Products

    Q
If I wash off the visible white residue when sprayed inside, is any Demon left?
I don't want to see the white residue and I don't want my family and friends to see it either since many are concerned about chemicals. Plus I don't want to have to explain why it is there.
    A
If you wipe off the white residue you will be wiping off the product as well. If the residue is a problem for you consider using another product that dries clear such as Talstar P or Demand CS.

    Q
My Demon WP sprayed on and dried on a muddy brown color - Does this means it has expired?
I will admit I should have stopped spraying when I saw the color it was coming out as but every description I have ever read about it said that it left behind a white film. As my walls are white I did not see that as a huge problem. However spraying the baseboards and crown moulding where I have seen them travel up high left dirty looking streaks running down my walls. Absolutely disgusting. My product was stamped with an 11/2012 label. Is it possible it was expired? Is that the reason for such an ugly application?
    A

We apologize you are having an issue with the Demon WP. We have never had anyone complain that it came out as a muddy color. The powder is usually a darker off white color and when mixed with water the solution is usually an off white creamy color. With many products the colors can vary a bit depending on the source of the raw materials and that may be the case with this product as well. We recommend contacting the manufacturer directly so that they can troubleshoot with you and see what may have happened. They may ask you some questions about the numbers on the envelope so they can see if there was a problem with a certain batch. You can reach Syngenta by calling 866-796-4368.

The 11/2012 is the date the product was released for sale, not the expiration date.

    Q
Can Demon WP be sprayed in the attic?
I have an attic space that is predominately filled with insulation (the pink cotton candy variety). Can Demon WP be sprayed onto the insulation without damaging it? If so, is Demon WP going to be effective against bugs crawling over the insulation?
    A
Demon WP can be safely sprayed onto anything that water can be safely sprayed onto (we do not know how water safe insulation is). Insects that crawl over areas treated with Demon will be killed. You will need to reapply every 90 days to make sure the product is effective.

    Q
    Can Demon WP kill wasps?
I hate wasps and want to spray demon on my lawn and around the house and in high corners where wasp or hornet nests might form ... will this work or should I try something stronger ( any suggestions will help .)
    A
Demon WP is one of the strongest insecticides on the market and will work well for wasp control but it will leave a white powdery residue on the lawn and on other dark surfaces. If that is a problem you can use Demand CS which is strong like Demon WP but dries clear. You should note that neither of the products offers an instant knockdown so care should be used if spraying a live nest.

    Q
What is the right concentration for me to use Demon WP solution for ant control? Instructions? Thanks.
I bought 2 pounds in two jars.
    A
You can use 1-2 scoops per gallon of water for ant control with Demon WP. Most folks use the higher usage rate for the initial treatment and the lower usage rate for maintenance treatments. You can see the full instructions by reading the product label which needs to be peeled off of the jar or by following this link: Demon WP Product Label

  • Asked by Susan from Auburndale, Florida

    Q
What is the proper use of Demon WP around dogs?
do dogs have to stay out side after you spray
    A
Demon WP is not a problem to use around pets as long as you apply it according to the label. Once Demon WP is mixed with water it is only strong enough to kill small insects. You would not want to leave the jar of Demon WP open where dogs could get into a large quantity of it. It is always a good idea to keep pets and children out of the area while you are treating. Once the product dries, usually after 30 minutes, it is perfectly fine to allow pets and children back in the area.

    Q
How often should I re-treat indoors for roaches?
I sprayed inside my home 2 weeks ago for cockroach treatment and Demon WP worked great. Last night, I began seeing cockroaches in my house again. Should I spray again?
    A
You can spray once a month indoors with Demon WP. We recommend you use Demon along with a couple of other products, an insect growth regulator to help halt the breeding cycle and a roach bait gel to eliminate roaches in cabinets, drawers and other hidden areas where spraying is not appropriate, to get rid of the roaches for good. Demon does work great but it cannot be sprayed in many of the places roaches hide and that is where the other products come in.

  • Asked by Colby from Tyler, Tx

    Q
After using Demon WP, I notice a white residue on the floor inside my home. Will mopping make poison not work?
I am using demon WP. I want to know if mopping up the white residue it left behind after drying will make the poison lose its effect.
    A
Yes, Demon Wp does have the potential to leave a slight powdery residue. If you should mop the treated areas it will lower efficacy of the active ingredient. We recommend at least waiting a week to two weeks before mopping.

    Q
Can Demon WP be used on Wisteria for Kudzu infestation?
I have a BAD infestation of KUDZU bugs they are everywhere and they stink I cant go in my backyard in aternoon they are everywhere and they STINK. But they are in giant bunches on my wisteia. Can I spray on my trees/ vines that they are infesting
    A
Demon Wp can be applied to trees, however, it does have a tendency to leave a white powdery residue. A better option would be Talstar P . Talstar P leaves a residual that is clear and odorless. You would want to retreat at least once every 4 weeks to continue the residual effect.

    Q
just treated inside/outside of house w/ demon wp & an IGR for fleas. still seeing adult fleas. is that normal?
we are seeing fewer fleas so, if it is normal to still be seeing fleas, how long should we be seeing them for before we need to move on to the next step?
    A
It is perfectly normal to keep seeing fleas for several weeks after the initial treatment. This is because of the natural life cycle of the flea and you are now seeing newly hatched fleas. Most folks find they have to do between 2-4 treatments to get rid of the fleas for good. We do not recommend using Demon WP indoors for flea control as it is not labeled for broadcast sprays indoors.
