I used this product two years ago and have not had another occurrence with drain flies. I just recently purchased the product for my Dad and it cleared up his problem within a week. He referred someone to me three days ago that needed the product for the same problem. This product works and it works fast!

The product works very well. Also, if you can, get a brush and clean the inside of the drain pipes above the trap. From what I read on the web, the larvae live off the slime on the side of the drain pipes. I tried cleaning the pipes and then putting the DF 5000 in the drain. I am not sure which did the trick, but they appear to be gone from the drains.

I had a drain fly infestation that I was unable to control until I used the Internet to find out what was the best product for this problem. A number of sites, two from universities, suggested that DF 5000 was the only product that really worked. And it did, but I suggest that the problem first be addressed by having your drain professionally cleaned out, then use the DF 5000 in all drains that connect to the infected site. For example, my problem was in the bathroom sink, but this drain connected somewhere with the bathroom shower drain. Once the line was cleaned, I used DF 5000 in both drains for 5 nights and so far the fly problem is over. I will use the product weekly for a while, then monthly to ensure the fly issue is over.

I was very unsure of what the outcome of using this product would be but I was sick and tired of drain flies surrounding us during dinner time and all over the place.  I used the gel according to the directions and some tips from other consumers and turns out it worked great!!!  I don't have any more drain flies in the house at all.   I thought I would never see the light at the end of the tunnel but finally it is all taken care of and I'm so happy :-)

Having tried repeatedly flushing our floor drain and using all kinds of other control products, I tried this product in desperation. I am thrilled to report that it does truly work as advertised. I admit to getting lazy and not applying monthly as suggested to prevent the issue once under control the first time. However, when the flies re-appeared, I poured the a treatment around the drain opening. I was amazed the next morning to find hundreds of tiny dead larvae surrounding the drain, having already succumbed to the gel. I have ordered another bottle and plan to be more diligent with monthly treatments going forward. Great product!!

This stuff works exactly as it says, nothing would kill these damn things.  We followed the instructions on the DF 5000 and in 1 week no more flies.  Buy it if you have them, it's all you need.

After suffering with these annoying bugs for months, I was at my wits end. I assumed they would disappear on their own after fixing the sewer line.  I was wrong!  I used the product as directed for 5 straight days, but never saw another bug after the first application.  I would definitely recommend this product.  I only wish I had done my research earlier, to save myself the months of frustration.

We have had drain flies in our shower drain for about 2 years now. Bleach, cleansers, or foaming drain cleaners will not get rid of these buggers! We also tried an organic liquid drain cleaner, and that did not work either. DF5000 is thick, so it coats the pipe and stays there long enough to kill the larvae and break down their food source (soap scum, hair, etc.). So far, so good. It took a few days, but I think they are finally gone. I recommend purchasing no fewer than 2 bottles at a time. I plan to follow the directions and continue to treat the drain periodically to keep them from coming back.

It took us a while to find the source of these flies (in a drain in the back room of our house in the basement). They were all over our basement and 1st floor so we didn't think they'd be back in a dark room! We bought this stuff and in exactly 8 days there was not one fly sighting (we used 4 ounces everyday). We would kill about 40 at a time on a window and walk away and come back to kill about 40 more- no joke. The advice on the phone was great and we plan on using this gel once a week for a while as maintenance!

I have been using DF5000 for several years. It is the only thing that works for not only drain flies, but overall keeping drains clean and unclogged. Lye based drain openers and/or bleach do not get rid of drain flies. Apply once every month or every other month and your drains will never clog.

We recently moved into a building that had been unoccupied for a while. We noticed small moth-like flies that seemed to be coming from a bathroom drain. After some online research, we purchased the DF 5000 Drain Fly Gel - got a quick response and excellent service from DoMyOwnPestControl.com. Used the product the very 1st night - no more flies in the morning! It was that fast! Plan on using it once a month to keep them away.

We moved into a new apt. and to my surprise, we had an infestation of: "drain flies". I am an immaculate person, and they were flying and crawling in all the moist areas of our apt. I searched the Internet, and saw a product that might work; DF5000 Drain Fly Gel. I committed myself for two weeks to apply this wonderful product to all my drains. I am now "drain fly" free. It worked so well, that I will order it on a consistent basis to keep my drains clean.

I have been using this product for a couple of months now and I have seen a great reduction in the drain flies. Now if only they would make something for the vents.

A year or so ago I had drain flies in one of our showers. I tried different products which did not work. I then used DF 5000, and the flies were gone.

This product delivers as promised. We had a pretty bad infestation of drainflies before we understood what they were. After the 5 day course of treatment, they were nearly all gone. Several weeks later we see the occasional odd fly but we don't know the lifespan of these things so we'll wait and see. May need to retreat. The company was very prompt with delivery of the product. 5 stars for DMOPC !!

Great product. Had a few flies for the past few months here and there. Used this as directed, they are gone. I used this product 4 years ago with the same issue, but a lot more flies. Took care of the issue back then as directed. I have not kept up with the regular maint. Still, 4 years later no flies, not bad!

Drain flies come into my home twice a year during season changes (winter to spring, summer to winter). A week of treatment with DF5000 always runs them away!

After pouring just a few ounces, per the instructions on the bottle, I have had NO MORE sewer flies!! I would definitely recommend this product and will be buying more (if it's even necessary). I didn't even have to do the full week. I noticed they were gone after the first day.

It really worked. I have finally won the battle with the flies. What a pesky, annoying problem. Wish I had found this product earlier. I ordered a case and plan to do the follow up every month as suggested. I can't tell you how thankful I am to eradicate this problem from my kitchen in time for the Christmas holidays.

In two days, 90% of flies were gone. Thereafter, I treated drains every other day, because it takes the little buggers at least two days to produce new adults. They were gone after two weeks. Hint: don't pour down the drain, dribble it around the periphery so it oozes down the inside of the drain pipe.

It got rid of most fruit flies (not drain flies) in two days, but they returned. Do not neglect weekly maintenance treatments. I recommend two bottles for a double kitchen sink -- one for the first week (2 oz per drain is enough), one for maintenance. If bathroom sinks are involved, get four bottles.

This stuff works!! I had these bugs coming from both bath tub drains in my house. I had never heard of these things before and they sneak up on you. One day you have a couple, soon after, a lot and they keep coming. I ordered DF 5000, followed the directions, and voila - these nasty things were gone. I really appreciate the video for the instructions and how quickly I received this in the mail. I will follow up once a week for a while then monthly as suggested. Thank you so much. I have my house back!!!

After just a few weeks of using the drian fly gel they were gone. I used it as specified - every day for one week and then once a week thereafter. Cheap solution to a real nuisance.

In our basement bathroom drain, "sewer" flies were present. The basement from that point onwards had tons of flies all over the place and had a musky smell to it. I read the details of the flies on the website and it was very helpful. I bought the case of 12 quarts, and applied about 4 of the bottles as instructed. The fly situation is completely under control now and the musky odor is slowly going away. The product is safe and doesn't have an odor at all. I had called a pest exterminator prior to this and was not happy. This product did the trick and more. Highly recommend the product.
