    Q
Can Dimension when being used as a Pre-Emergent be used with Prodiamine and Pennant Magnum at the same time?
I live in Central Florida. I want to use this with all 3 products that I have now together at the same time. Also can I use Dimension as a Post Emergent to kill crabgrass and if so when in the year can I do so?
    A

You could mix a post-emergent herbicide or different pre-emergent herbicide with Dimension 2EW Herbicide as long as the use sites are compatible, you are not using the same active ingredient in multiple products, and you calibrate the products to be used together. Any time you are mixing products together for the first time, it is recommend to perform a small test mixture first to ensure compatibility.

    Q
Can I apply Barricade, and come 1 month latter and apply Dimension for best pre-emergent effect?
Since they have different compositions, can I used the max rate for both, or do you recommend to reduce the rate? Any other recommendation for split treatment ?
    A

Barricade and Dimension are actually in the same class of herbicides which means they work with the same mode of action for most of the same weeds and there would be no benefit to using each so close together.  It is more recommended to rotate each season between different actives to prevent resistance buildup.  Typically Dimension is more recommended in the spring as it is best for crabgrass and has early post emergent control of it as well (in a separate application).  Using the max rate in one season would prevent you from using either in the fall which is also a recommended time for pre-emergent applications for winter/spring weeds.

    Q
Can you apply Dimension 2EW Herbicide after rainfall?
    A

We would not recommend applying herbicides such as Dimension 2EW Herbicide during active precipitation or after rainfall. The manufacturer recommends to water this product in within 24 hours after application, so it would be best if you apply it the day before rain is expected again if you do not manually water the product in for pre-emergent applications.

    Q
If I have treated my lawn twice this year with Prodiamine, can I use Dimension for spot spraying?
I have used 6 oz per 1000 already this year
    A

Yes, if you have used the maximum rate of prodiamine for the year you may use Dimension 2EW Herbicide since they are two different actives. You can either spot treat or blanket spray. We would recommend blanket spraying as it would give you better results for pre-emergent control.

    Q
Will this harm my cool-season grass?
I am working hard to pull POA out of the yard and I am trying to figure out the best route to prevent this POA from coming back. I’m getting a lot of mixed signals online about any POA application damaging the cool-season Kentucky blue grass I have growing. So can I apply this and not worry about the rest of my yard dying? Zone 6a
    A

Dimension 2EW Herbicide can safely be applied to both cool season and warm season turf.

    Q
Does Dimension 2EW control Rescue Grass?
    A

Dimension 2EW Herbicide is not labeled to prevent growth of rescue grass. If you need a pre-emergent you may consider Barricade 4FL Pre-Emergent Herbicide (Prodiamine). Keep in mind pre-emergents will only prevent the germination of the weed in question, will not control it once it has germinated

    Q
Can Dimension be mixed with Drive XLR8?
    A

While Dimension 2EW Herbicide could be mixed with Drive XLR8 it is not recommended. A pre-emergent will only work in the fall once soil temperatures are below 70 degrees & in the spring when temperatures are below 55 degrees. Post-emergents will work before soil temps drop below 70 in the fall & once above 55 in the spring. Generally, the soil temps do not align to apply both products together

    Q
If Dimension is pre-emergent and is watered in, then why use a surfactant as the video says?
    A

Yes, Dimension 2EW Herbicide is a pre-emergent herbicide mixed with water as directed and applied at the appropriate time in spring or fall prior to weed germination. If targeting young, actively growing crabgrass, it is mixed with water and a nonionic surfactant for selective post-control.

    Q
What pre-emergent can stop big blue stream?
I am trying to eradicate a section of my property that is full of big blue stem. I’d rather use a pre-emergent than spray the area with roundup and kill everything.
    A
Dimension 2EW Herbicide is not labeled to prevent the blue stem from coming up. If you tell us what your desired grass type is we can make a recommendation on how to kill it and keep it gone.
