Does Bayer Advanced Carpenter Ant & Termite Killer Plus Concentrate kill only where I spray or the whole colony if it's deeper inside wood?

Bayer Advanced Carpenter Ant & Termite Killer Plus Concentrate contains the active ingredient beta-cyfluthrin and, therefore, kills quickly but does not transfer throughout an ant or termite colony.
