Does Certainty Herbicide kill poa trivialis in lawns located in New Jersey?

Answer:

Certainty Herbicide is only labeled for warm season turfgrass and would injure cool season turfgrasses. Unfortunately, since poa trivialis is also a cool season grass, there is not a selective herbicide that would kill the poa trivialis without also killing the desirable turf.  Spot treating the poa trivialis with a non selective glyphosate product such as Roundup QuickPRO would be recommended. Any bare spots in the lawn can be reseeded after 2 weeks if needed.
