I am specifically targeting mosquitoes in my backyard in a very wet area, with quite a bit of tall, non-mowable grass. It's their breeding ground, as it has a lot of standing water.
Conquer Liquid Insecticide is not an insect growth regulator; it is an adulticide. If the area you want to spray remains wet for long periods of time, you should not apply Conquer or similar insecticides in that area. Altosid Pro-G Granules is an IGR that can be used in some areas where insecticides cannot be sprayed. Be sure to follow the product label when using Altosid. Eliminating the breeding sites is ultimately the best solution. Please see our Mosquito Treatment Guide for more information about mosquito treatment.
