    Q
Is the Drain Fly Kit the most effective way to kill drain flies? I'm a senior citizen and will not clean drains.
My elderly mom lives in my basement apartment and fights these annoying gnats all the time. I want a powerful product that I can use in the drains. Please help
    A

Yes, The Drain Fly Kit contains three different items for complete treatment and monitoring and treating a drain fly infestations. InVade Bio Drain Gel contains natural microbes (bacillus bacteria) and citrus oil with an emulsifier and gelling agent. The microbes break down the scum and organic buildup that are the breeding grounds for drain flies. By targeting the source of the infestation, drain flies are eliminated and kept away. CB-80 Aerosol contains natural pyrethrins and stabilizers to knock down adult flies in the area at the time of application. The included glue boards are used to determine which drains are infested and to monitor treatments. The Drain Fly Kit is not a substitution for general sanitation. Repeat applications should be made until drain fly activity has ceased. The InVade Bio Drain Gel can also be used weekly or monthly for prevention.

    Q
Can the Drain Fly Kit be used in a sump pump?
I have drain flies coming from my sump pump. How can i get rid of them.
    A

Once you’ve determined you’re dealing with drain flies, finding the source is the next step. Cleaning up is definitely recommended and typically for sump pumps, it’s good to use a foaming product like Invade Hot Spot would be better. The foam will be able to get into the pump, cracks and crevices where the Drain Gel is really only meant for drains in the kitchen and/or bathrooms. If there’s an area where water will run-off into sump pump, you could hang an InVade Bio Bullet inside the sump pump in the patch of the water for continuous treatment but do not submerge in the water.

    Q
How do I eradicate drain flies that are breeding under my toilet?
A plumber already replaced a wax ring for my toilet, but drain flies are still coming up through the bolts which hold down the toilet. How do I kill them and stop them from breeding? I have temporarily placed tape around the caps to prevent them from flying into my bathroom.
    A

The Invade Hot Spot would be a good option to use under the toilet.  It is a foam in an aerosol can.  It would not be as messy as the drain gel.  The real benefit though would be that the foam will coat the areas and expand into cracks and crevices of the door where the larvae may be breeding.
