  • Asked by Dan from Gulf Breeze, Fl
    06/05/2018
    Q
Can I use Drive XLR8 Herbicide Crabgrass Killer to kill torpedo grass on my junipers?
    A

Drive XLR8 Herbicide Crabgrass Killer should only be applied in listed established turf. Torpedo grass is an invasive grass species that is very difficult to get rid of.  However, we do sell a professional version of over the top called Fusilade II which is labeled for torpedo grass and is what we recommend.  It is meant for the same purpose and that is for killing grasses out of your landscaped beds.  Please read the product label to make sure it is labeled for use around the type of shrubs that you have.

  • Asked by Robert from San Juan Capistrano, Ca
    05/14/2018
    Q
Can Drive XLR8 Herbicide Crabgrass Killer kill the crab grass without harming the Natal Plum? Is it safe in Tall Fescue?
    A

Drive XLR8 Herbicide Crabgrass Killer can be applied to established Tall Fescue lawns with a MSO for treating crabgrass.  It is labeled for lawn use only, not for use on any ornamentals. Biotypes of large and smooth crabgrass in California have shown varied response to Drive XLR8. If control failure occurs following a full or split application, DO NOT reapply Drive XLR8. Change to an herbicide with a different mode of action.

    Q
Can I mix Battleship III with Drive XLR8 to spray my yard all in one shot?
    A

Before mixing Battleship III and Drive XLR8, a simple jar test is required to ensure compatibility of herbicides and/or additives, like DyneAmic that's recommended to be used with Drive XLR8. Refer to the respective product labels for specific use directions, precautions, and limitations before tank mixing and we recommend that you follow the label instructions of the product with the most restrictions. Be sure that both products are safe to use on the turf you have.

  • Asked by Blaine from Longview, Tx
    05/08/2018
    Q
What is the difference between spot sraying and broadcast spraying? And isn't the mixture for both the same?
    A

Spot spraying means that you are treating individual weeds directly, or in "spots," rather than applying a product to the entire lawn.  Broadcast spraying refers to applying a product to the entire area.  The mix rate for Drive XLR8 Herbicide Crabgrass Killer would be the same whether spot spraying or broadcast spraying.

  • Asked by Craig from Hutchinson, Ks
    05/06/2018
    Q
Can Drive XLR8 Herbicide be used on fine fescue turfgrass?
Does this mean not to use unless in a blend of other fine fescues varieties/cultivars (, or a blend of other grass types (bluegrass, rye, etc)
    A

Drive XLR8 should not be used on turf which is fine fescue only. So, if your grass is a fescue blend - meaning it may contain fine fescue but also contains tall fescue, for example - then it would be safe to use.
