If you need to use 3lbs of product per 1,000 sq ft you would add 3 lb of product to spreader, start with a medium setting, then apply product to a 20 x 50 ft area (1,000 sq ft). If you have product left, your setting is too low. If you run out of product, your setting is too high

You can use either a liquid or a granule insecticide for grub prevention in the Spring. It is too late to applying anything this year unless you were still seeing actively feeding grubs and used a curative treatment like Dylox Granules. Dylox 6.2 Granules are only active and kill for 48 hours, so grubs also need to be active in the area at the time of application. It is best to apply when you see turf damage from the grubs actively feeding. This time frame is normally from July to September. Application timing is very important and it varies from region to region.
