    Eagle 20EW Specialty Fungicide cannot be used as a soil drench, according to the manufacturer. They recommend that you use Eagle 20EW as a foliar spray or topically on the soil.

    What is the best time to apply Eagle 20EW, i.e. spring, fall, etc.

    The best time to apply a fungicide such as Eagle 20EW will depend on what type of plant you are treating, the type of fungus you are trying to prevent and the region you are located in. We recommend reading over the product label available on the Eagle 20EW page on our website or contacting your local cooperative extension office and speaking directly to the master gardener on staff. Master gardeners are experts on the plants and plant diseases in  their local region and they should be able to tell you exactly when you should perform the application.

    What type of broad spectrum fungicide for tropical hibiscus and to be used with Spinosad or Acephate
    It's prime weather for disease in KY, 100 plus heat index and humid. I have been battling thrip for a while and I've vever had them this bad. They must go. The leaves on several CV's are getting black spots on the undersides and then quickly turning yellow. Buds are dropping like crazy and I plan to spray Spinosad twice, 4 days apart, and then a dose of Acephate. I want to mix a fungicide for the blacks it's but don't know what to use because I don't know what they are.

    We do have a few broad spectrum fungicides available for use on hibiscus. Eagle 20 EW, EcoMate Armicare 100 and Heritage DF 50 are all labeled for use on hibiscus but without knowing exactly what type of fungus you are dealing with we cannot narrow down which product would best suit your needs. We recommend that you contact your local cooperative extension office and speak to the master gardener on staff. The master gardener may be able to tell you what product would work best in this situation.

    I am going to apply Eagle 20EW Specialty Fungicide to my lawn.
    How soon after applying may I let pets and people on my lawn after applying it? How soon after applying it, that I can water my lawn?

    People and pets can return to the treated as soon as it is completely dry. You should wait at least 24 hours before watering the lawn after treating with Eagle 20 EW

    I have St Augustine grass and it has a fungus call Take All Patch. Do you something that treats this?
    My lawn service company has to continually treat it twice every year at a cost of $100 a treatment. Supposedly it will not go away and must be treated each year just to maintain it.

    We would recommend our Eagle 20 EW Fungicide. It is labeled for Take-All Patch in your turf, and you would use 2.4 ounces per 1000 sq/ft in no less than 2 gallons of water. Label states for treatment of Take-All Patch: To reduce the severity, make 1 to 2 fall applications in September and October or when night temperatures drop to 55°F, and 1 to 2 spring applications in April and May depending upon local recommendations.     How do I mix to treat fungus on Roses with Eagle 20EW Fungicide?
    I read the label and I can't find the amount to mix per qt or gal for applying spray to roses.
    A
    The label does not state how much to mix per gallon of water as this is not what is important. The importance lies in getting the correct amount of product over the correct amount of area. The water only acts as the carrier so whether you use the amount for your roses in 1 or 5 gallons of water, both are correct. You did not state what disease you are treating for on your roses so we can not give you an exact dilution per thousand square feet. Please refer back to the product label to see the amount for your particular disease treatment needs.

    Is my fruit still good I think I used 5 time the amount of Eagle 20EW Specialty Fungicide for powdery mildew
    some of the leaves turned white.

    Applying Eagle 20EW
    I purchased Eagle 20EW and in reading the directions I only see directions on application to non-resident turf grass for take-all patch. Can I apply it to my resident lawn and if so how much should I apply and what should the night temperature be? Thank you.

    You can apply Eagle 20EW to your lawn. The applicatoin rate depends on the exact disease that you are treating. The dilution rate varies from 1-2.4 fl oz per 1,000 sq ft. For take-all patch you will use 2.4 fl oz per 1,000 sq ft. See the product label (starting on page 4) for more specifics. You will want to treat when night temperatures drop to 55 degrees.

    When using a hose dial sprayer for grapes what is the setting when applying Eagle 20EW?
    Do I dilute the fungicide in the sprayer bottle in addition to the water that will come through the hose? The label is confusing.
    A
    It is not recommended to use the Eagle in a hose end applicator as they do not deliver an even application and most do not go down to a low enough setting for proper dilution. According to the product label: Use 6-10 oz per acre for disease control on grapes. This comes out to roughly 0.25 oz per thousand square feet in no less than 2 gallons of water. If your hose end sprayer allows you to dial down to this setting then you may be able to use it otherwise you would need a pump or backpack sprayer.

    Can Eagle 20EW be mixed and used in a tank with a post emergence herbicide
    A
    Normally, mixing Eagle 20EW Specialty Fungicide in a tank with a fungicide would not be an issue. Please contact Dow Agrosciences 800-992-5994 to make sure your herbicide can be mixed with their product.

    Is Eagle 20 approved for use on Mahonia? Will it treat Mahonia Rust?

    No, Eagle 20EW is not labeled for mahonia specifically.

     

    A product that is labeled for it is Ferti-Lome Broad Spectrum Landscape and Garden Fungicide, and it does treat rust on it.

    Eagle 20EW is used on golf course fairways, roughs, tees and greens, commercial and residential stone fruit trees, apple trees and grapes, and other landscape ornamentals. For use on ornamentals such as chrysanthemums, daylilies, poinsettias and roses in nurseries, landscapes and greenhouses. Please refer to the product label for specific application instructions.     How do I treat red thread with Eagle 20EW after it appears?
    Does the red thread fungus exist on the grass blade itself or in the soil? Which is being treated?

    You should apply 1.2 fl oz of Eagle 20EW per 1,000 sq ft for red thread. Red thread can infect the grass blades and the stromata can be viable in the soil. Please refer to the product label for specific application instructions.

    I just received a pint of Eagle 20EW to treat Powdery Mildew, but it doesn't list a dosage.
    Can Eagle 20 ew be used for garden vegetables?

    No, Eagle 20EW is not labeled to be used on garden vegetables. We would recommend using a product such as Liquid Copper Fungicide. It is labeled to be used on ornamentals, turf, roses, fruit and vegetables. You will mix 0.5 - 2.0 fl. oz. per gallon of water. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.
