    I have cats, Is EcoVia EC safe for them, and do they find the odor offensive?
    A
    EcoVia EC is safe once it is dry. The cats should not be in the room that you are spraying until the product is completely dry. This could take from 2-3 hours. After a few hours, there should no longer be an odor, but it is a green product and smells like botanical oils. This smell should not be strong.     Can EcoVia EC be used as systemic drench for trees?
    A
    EcoVia EC is not labeled to be applied as systemic. Depending on what you are treating for, you can use Bayer Tree and Shrub insect control.

    What is the best thing to treat for spiders on a lake property?
    A
    If you need to spray all the way up to the water line as well as around any dock areas for the spiders and other bugs they are feeding on, then you would use a product like EcoVia. Its a great all natural product that will eliminate the spiders food sources as well as the spiders, and is safe for aquatic life in the lake. It can be sprayed around the foundation and window and door frames, as well as eaves and edges of roof lines and patios and decks. It can also be sprayed on bushes and lawns for pest control and is completely safe to kids and pets once dry.

    We would recommend EcoVia EC. It is green product made with plant oils. It is labeled for various types of pests, including ants, roaches, fleas, etc. It can be used indoors and outdoors.     What is the best product to kill bird mites inside a home?

    EcoVia EC is a very good product to treat general mites. It is made with botanical oils and can safely to applied to the baseboards and cracks and crevices only inside your home. EcoVia EC can also be used outdoors as well. You will mix 1-4 fl. oz. per gallon of water.

    EcoVia EC will kill carpenter ants and other insects listed on the label that come into contact with the treated areas. To eliminate the colonies, we highly recommend that you bait this species of ant using our Carpenter Ant Kit #1.

    Does the residual affect depend on how you treat using EcoVia EC?
    Does EcoVia EC last long when using a handheld push vs a mister, because of the amount that is applied is more from a hand held pump? I always thought organic insecticides only last about two week and synthetic lasts up to a month?

    EcoVia EC will have the same residual if you apply in a pump sprayer or mister. It will offer about a 3-4 week residual and synthetic pyrethroids offer a monthly exterior residual.

    The Eco Via EC manufacturer does not make any claims to kill bed bug eggs or kill adult bed bugs on contact. Instead, you should rely on Eco Via EC to kill active bed bugs within several hours of contact.     Do you sell organic mosquito misting insecticide?
    I have used Riptide and Vectorban Plus most recently. My wife wants a "natural" alternative. Please advise.

    Yes, we have several options. EcoVia EC from Rockwell labs is a National Organic Program certified insecticide that can be used in mosquito misting systems. A similar product that is also available is Essentria IC3. We also sell the all-natural product Naprovit PRO Plus, which has a different plant oil base and can be used in misting systems.

    EcoVia EC can safely be applied around the outside perimeter of veggie gardens. Be sure to apply on a less windy day to reduce the risk of drifting into the garden. For use on edible plants, we suggest Essentria All Purpose Insecticide.

    What is the difference between dilution with water vs oil when using EcoVia EC?
    I read the label that is can either be diluted with water or oil. Is one carrier more effective than the other for certain applications? Does oil have a longer residual than mixing with water?

    EcoVia EC does have a residual of 3-4 weeks no matter what you use to dilute the product.

    Does EcoVia EC need mixed with anything to be used in a residential thermal fogger?
    A

    EcoVia EC can be applied undiluted or diluted with a light mineral oil or another suitable non-phytotoxic diluent per the product label. Per the instructions on the label, use up to 0.25-1.5 fl oz of product per 1000 sq ft of ground surface area, or up to 10-60 fl oz per acre. Use higher rates for heavy vegetation and/or when target insect populations are high. For best results, apply when insects are most active and when conditions are conducive to keeping the fog close to the ground.

    Is EcoVia EC or Essentria IC3 safe to use during pregnancy?
    A

    Essentria IC3 or EcoVia EC would be a great option for pest control. We suggest that adults (included those that are pregnant), children and pets should be out of the area during treatment. They can return once the surfaces have completely dried and the home has been ventilated.

    How well does EcoVia EC work on fleas?
    Would I be able to spray it with an IGR like NyGuard?

    EcoVia EC is a liquid botanical oil insecticide, and is lableled for fleas and would work very well if you are looking for a more natural alternative to other insecticide ingredients. It also can be mixed with any IGR that we carry as well.

    Read in one review the there is a oil build on his Stihl SR450 backpack mist blower is there as you cleaning

    You would treat the Solo Sprayer? as you would any other backpack or hand held sprayer and rinse out the tank and blower with clean water in a triple rinse method. If cleaned properly between uses of any product including EcoVia IC, it will not clog the unit or cause any damage. Please let us know if you have any other questions.

    Can I stay inside with my pet and baby using EcoVia EC?
    I would like to have my unit treated with this organic product, but as well i would like to stay inside my unit and not have to leave having a puppy and baby, I wouldn't want to leave my home. Please advise if I would have to be out of my unit and if so for how long.

    Even with the application of organic or green products such as EcoVia EC, we recommend that you, your child and your pet remain out of the home during the application and while it is drying. When the surfaces have completely dried and the home has been ventilated properly, you all may return.

    Termite protection using EcoVia
    I see Termites listed as one of the Target pests but there is an asterisk * after Termites. I did not see a footnote for the *. What does the asterisk refer to? I want a diy termite protection for my house in Fayetteville GA. Would I apply this product like Termidor is applied, but digging a shallow space around the foundation and then spraying Eco Via EC in this shallow trench? ...or some other application?

    EcoVia EC states on the product label: * This product is not recommended as sole protection against termites and is not approved as a pre-construction treatment for subterranean termites.  It is really only for spot treating active termites.  Termidor SC would be the best product for trenching as prevention.

    What can I use to get rid of spiders around our lake house?

    If you need to treat for spiders near water, we would suggest that you use a product like EcoVia EC, which is effective against spiders but poses no threat to aquatic life.
