Essentria IC3 is one of our natural bug sprays and the most updated formulation of the EcoExempt IC2 product. Essentria IC3 was improved by adding the adjuvant in the concentrate, as well as a fragrance modifier was added to minimize any odors. Essentria IC3 is a flexible, broad-spectrum EPA FIFRA 25(b) exempt all natural product. This means it is a very safe insecticide for use around your family and pets, but still very effective. One of the best features of Essentria IC3 is that it has no aquatic toxicity. This means you can apply near or over water for spiders, mosquitoes and other water dwelling pests with no worries about harming aquatic life.
This product used to be sold and marketed under the Envincio brand name.

Essentria IC3 is an insecticide emulsifiable concentrate that kills insects on contact. The botanical active ingredients include rosemary oil, peppermint oil, and geraniol (found in many essential oils). These all-natural ingredients act as octopamine blockers on target pests, disrupting the neurotransmitter function in target insects and causing a breakdown in the insects’ central nervous system. Because mammals, birds, and fish do not have receptors for octopamine, botanical oils are very safe to use in a variety of situations without adverse effects. Essentria IC3 Insecticide Concentrate will kill insects that are either contacted with direct spray or with the residual left after the application has dried.
Crawling and Flying Insect Pests, Turf and Ornamental Pests, Livestock Pests; ants, aphids, bed bugs, cockroaches, flies, spiders, ticks, wasps
PESTS CONTROLLED WITH ESSENTRIA IC3 INSECTICIDE CONCENTRATE:
Ants, Aphids, Armyworms, Bagworms, Bed Bugs, Bees, Beetles, Billbugs, Boxelder Bugs, Cadelles, Centipedes, Chinch bugs, Chiggers, Cigarette Beetles, Cockroaches, Confused Flour Beetles, Crickets, Cutworms, Dark Mealworms, Dried Fruit Beetles, Drugstore Beetles, Earwigs, Fire Ants, Firebrats, Fleas, Fowl Mites, Fruit Flies, Grain Mites, Grasshoppers, Ground Beetles, Horn Flies, House Flies, Hyperodes weevils (adults), Japanese beetles (adults), Lace bugs, Mealybugs, Millipedes, Mites, Mole crickets, Moths, Nuisance Beetles (such as lady beetles), Pillbugs, Red Flour Beetles, Rice Weevils, Saw-toothed Grain Beetles, Scale insects, Silverfish, Sod webworms, Sowbugs, Spider Beetles, Stable Flies, Tent caterpillars, Ticks, Whiteflies, Yellow Mealworms; Bedbugs, Darkling beetles (lesser meal worms), Flies (Deer, Face, House), Gnats, Lice, Litter beetles, Maggots (fly larvae), Mites, Mosquitoes, Poultry lice, Spiders, Stable lice, Ticks, Wasps
Essentria IC3 can be used as a substitute for many synthetic insecticides in sensitive situations when a natural, organic, or extremely gentle product is desired. Essentria IC3 can be used indoors, outdoors, for fogging, turf or ornamental applications, in livestock facilities (when animals are NOT present), and in mosquito misting applications. A new fragrance modifier has been added to Essentria IC3 to dampen the odor of the botanical ingredients. Essentria IC3 Insecticide Concentrate now also includes the adjuvant, so a separate product does not need to be added when mixing. Because Essentria IC3 is a FIFRA 25(b) minimum risk pesticide, it does not require a re-entry period after applications. This means IC3 can be used in areas with a lot of human activity, such as schools, day care facilities, and commercial establishments.
Because of the mode of action on target pests, Essentria IC3 Insecticide Concentrate also can be used near or over open water without concern of effects on aquatic life. This is especially useful for mosquito applications near water and treatments around boat docks and marinas.
Essentria IC3 Insecticide Concentrate Application Instructions
Always shake well before using. Mix 0.5 to 10 ounces of IC3 Insecticide Concentrate per gallon of water or oil just before application. Dilution rate varies according to specific use. In general, use lower rates for prevention and maintenance, and use higher rates for clean-out or existing infestations. Do not store mixtures overnight. See below for more details. Always read the product label completely before use.
A quart (32 oz.) bottle of Essentria IC3 Insecticide Concentrate yields 3 to 32 gallons of finished solution. A gallon (128 oz.) bottle yields 12 to 128 gallons of finished solution.

Indoors
General Pest Control: Mix 0.5 to 6 oz. per gallon of water. Thoroughly spray non-visible areas where insects are usually found with special attention to cracks, crevices, niches, dark corners, drains, and other harborage sites. To prevent potential discoloring, do not spray on visible areas (i.e. baseboards, door frames, walls) and wipe away excess.
Fogging: Apply as a space spray through conventional fogging equipment misting systems (including mist sprayers and mist blowers), automated spray systems, and/or related application technologies. Use lower rates in most food facilities. Keep area closed for at least 15 minutes. Retreat if reinfestation occurs. See label for complete precautions and instructions.
Outdoors
Perimeter Treatments: Dilute 1-8 oz. per gallon of water and apply at a rate of 2 gallons per 1,000 square feet or until area is thoroughly wet. Also apply to a band of soil and vegetation 6-10 feet wide around and adjacent to buildings. Treat the building foundation to a height of 2-3 feet with sufficient water for coverage. Make special efforts to spray areas where pests congregate and around potential entry areas such as eaves, windows, doorways, porches, and around utility boxes. Repeat as necessary.
Mosquito Control: In pressurized sprayers, dilute 1-3 oz. per gallon of water. Treat harborage areas such as shrubbery and vegetation where mosquitoes/flies may rest. Shrubbery and vegetation around stagnant pools, marshy areas, ponds and shorelines may be treated. Repeat as necessary.
Around Boat Docks: Use 2-8 oz. per gallon of water and apply at a rate of 2 gallons per 1,000 square feet or until area is thoroughly wet.
Turf and Grass: Use 2-4 oz. per gallon of water and apply at a rate of 2-4 gallons per 1,000 square feet.
Premise Applications in Livestock Facilities: For a residual surface spray, dilute 3-6 oz. per gal. of water or mineral oil USP. Apply 1 gallon of dilution per 500-1,000 sq. ft. Thoroughly cover walls, ceilings or other areas where pests rest or congregate in livestock facilities. DO NOT USE WHEN ANIMALS ARE PRESENT.

ok folks, if you're going to buy a product and not take a little effort, don't buy it. This product is not rated for spiders. This product will not kill spiders. no where on the label does it say it will kill spiders. NO RESIDUAL SPRAY KILLS SPIDERS AS THEY DON'T GROOM THEMSELVES. Buying a product that doesnt kill spiders, then calling the product useless because it doesnt kill spiders, makes no sense at all. ALSO... if you buy a product that says 3/1 4/1 and you use it 10/1.. you have no right to complain that it doesn't work. Roaches are one of the hardest things to get rid of because they are a filth pest, and once they get into the walls and begin to breed, you'll need more than a little spray to get rid of them. Also mixing 10/1 is against the instructions, and is the reason we can't have nice things. read the label before you buy and this is a great product.

Essentria IC3 Works Great!
By Nagy on 12/12/2013
I own Nagy Pest Control located in Virginia and have been using this products (IC2 & IC3) for 3 years now. Works great on all insects and safe to be used around children, pest, water and our environment. I often mix 1 ounce per gallon for interior treatments and 3-6 ounces per water for exterior treatments. So far, I can see this products lasting anywhere from 30 to 60 days depending on heat and rain conditions. This product also repels rodents because of the peppermint oil smell that they hate to be around. Kills insects and repels rodents..ALL IN ONE!

Professional advice
By Dominic on 05/15/2013
Without sounding like a liberal nut job.... organic compounds like Essentria work very well, if you know your infestation and where to apply the treatment. Along with proper sanitation and insect monitor usage. Fact: According to the EPA 5 billion lbs. of pesticides are applied annually to US lawns & homes. Fact: Over 98% of sprayed insecticides reach a destination other than their targeted species. Fact: According to the EPA, 95% of the pesticides routinely used on residential lawns are carcinogens. Fact: A recent study found that 109 out of 110 children had pesticides in their urine. -Safe & Sound Pest Control Elkhart, IN.

Works well for mosquito and no-see-um control
By No on 05/08/2012
We diluted it 4:1 and added it to a Halloween fogger and placed it outside to lightly fog the yard. It has been the best thing we have used. We live near a lake and have a horrible mosquito problem...until now! It even has a great non-offensive smell too!

New Weapon to Add to My Bed Bug Arsenal
By Rodrick on 11/28/2011
I use Essentria IC3 on hotel jobs for bed bugs at sites that were treated with traditional insecticides (Suspend, Phantom, Demon, etc) and I found it very effective. What I recommend is to mix Essentria IC3 with an IGR to add to the residual effect against bed bugs. This is a product I will continue to use.

We want an environmentally friendly way of killing the spider population on our boat dock. We don't want to use anything that can harm the Lake water and wildlife.
The most popular spider control product for use around water is Essentria IC3, because it is effective for spiders, kills most other insects (eliminating the spider's prey which will help keep new spiders from moving back into the area) and it safe to use around water. Most other insecticides are prohibited near the water because of the risk of contaminating the water and harming aquatic animals. You will need to repeat the application once a month through the warm season.

Our neighborhood is a former farming area that is full of roaches. Even though we have a pest guy treat our yard, we are finding them inside the house. I want to use a product that won't hurt my family but will kill the roaches. Does this work on roaches?
