This stuff reduced my mowing and pruning.
By Anonymous on 07/03/2013
Embark has brought my mowing down to once weekly. Heck! I could miss a week!, and I fertilize. The shrubs look fresh trimmed. It recommends iron to be applied, but I havent seen real evidence of yellowing. I bought some foliar applied "chelated iron" from farm supplier, just in case, but not needed yet. I bought a Chapin backpack sprayer from here to reduce application time and couldn't be more happy with both. Thank you! Really, Thank you!

Maybe not for the "average lawn"
By Robert on 09/05/2015
Bought Embark spring 2015 to control a large, near-unmowable bank: may have had some effect on the grasses, zero effect on giant purple clover. Used up the last tank one spray swath wide along another 75' of curb, had no real effect compared to the mixed species immediately adjacent. Also, my city will cite you for seed heads over 12" even if the grass is 4-5". Embark may have stopped emergence of most in the tall fescue, but not enough - and it is hopeless for controlling seed head emergence in a variety of mixed turf & weed grasses which might not even have sprouted before summer. My impression is that this is for carefully calibrated professional use on manicured turf where there are landscape maintenance or payroll costs involved; for the average homeowner, does the price of this (plus your time in applying it twice a year) really justify mowing 4-5 fewer times in the season?

In the past I had a lawn service that had me cut my grass the same day they were going to spray it. They would spray it with a chemical that would force the grass to spread and grow horizontally and not vertically. I think its used on golf courses

Will this work on ealyagnus plants? If so how many ounces per gallon do I mix it at? I would probably mix for 50 gallons max.
