    What can I use for mosquito control in a horse pasture?
    Is there a product that would be safe in horse pastures that will help with mosquito and fly control? Thanks!

    Essentria All Purpose Insecticide is a newer formulation that does not contain the Geraniol and has an expanded product label that includes many agricultural applications. The residual of the Essentria IC3 will range from about 2-6 weeks, depending on weathering like rain and direct sunlight. Residual will be slightly less for the All Purpose. For general home applications we would recommend using the Essentria IC3.

    What can I use to control ticks in an area where livestock are grazing?
    A

    Essentria All Purpose is the only insecticide we carry that is labeled for ticks and can also be used on pastures where animals graze.

    If a horse eats the grass treated with Essentria All Purpose Insecticide Concentrate, can they get hurt?
    A

    It is recommended that you keep horses out of the area while applying Essentria All Purpose Insecticide Concentrate. Once it has dried completely, it is safe them to return to the area. There are no grazing restrictions.

    How long does an Essentria AP solution remains effective after application to a wooden surface?
    Please let me know how long does a solution of 1-6 fl. oz. of Essentria per gallon of water remains effective. Is re-application needed? If yes, how often? Also, can this product be blended with Timbor for termite protection?

    Essentria All Purpose Insecticide Concentrate will be effective at a rate of 1-3 oz. per gallon of water for most applications, and it will leave a residual of about 30-60 days indoors. Essentria is not intended as a wood preservative or termite treatment, and it should not be mixed with Timbor.

    What can I use for flea and ant control on my farm with dogs, cats, and goats?
    I used Talstar granules for YEARS, but it isn't safe for grazing animals. We live in SW Louisiana.

    A good choice to use for fleas, ants, and other common crawling pests in pasture areas would be Essentria All Purpose Insecticide Concentrate. This product is National Organic Compliant as well and very safe to use around animals and even aquatic life. We would still recommend keeping the animals out of the treatment area while you are spraying in case there is any sensitivity.

    Will Essentria All Purpose Insecticide Concentrate in its diluted form remain effective in a plastic spray bottle?

    Essentria All Purpose Insecticide Concentrate cannot be stored once mixed with water, it should be used as soon as possible.  The product label states: Do Not Store Spray Solution Overnight

    What is your best suggestion for chiggers and ticks? I also have goats that graze on the property.
    I can restrict the goats grazing for some time if necessary.

    Usually a product containing BT is best like the DiPel PRO DF Biological Insecticide
