Good product

I have been battling root aphids in my indoor garden for several weeks. The other products I have been using were having a very limited effect, so I finally tried a root drench at about 10 ml per gallon, and noticed an immediate and drastic reduction in the population of aphids. If you are looking for a good (organic) knock-down agent to control bugs in your garden, I highly recommend this product.

Versatile product
By Tim on 08/29/2011
We mostly use this product in our mostly organic garden. It works great. Mixture ratio is dependent on pest. 1 Tbs. per gallon works good for aphids, whiteflies, thrips, sap beetles, bean beetle larva. It's expensive but what organic isn't. We've had a terrible problem with fleas this year & regular pyrethrin based flea soap wasn't solving the problem so I started mixing a very small amount to some flea shampoo & it works great for that too. I can only guess that since pyrethrins are degraded in an alkaline solution (such as soap), that the flea shampoo is not strong enough. Adding a small amount of this product ( 1 ML or 1/5 of a teaspoon ) to a few tablespoons of soap just before bathing brings the potency to a sufficient level. I'm very pleased with this product.

By Steve on 07/13/2014
Made by the same company that makes Pyganic this product is identical to Pyganic pro at 5 % pyrethrum and is labeled OMRI.With a 2 year shelf life the pint size is ideal.Quart size of pyganic 5 % cost 150 0r more elsewhere. Fast shipping and free freight. Just wish this company carried a full line of organic farming pesticides. very satisfied.

Try something else

While Evergreen Pyrethrum Concentrate does not list "root aphids" on the label, since it is labeled for aphids in general it will treat any variety of them. Just need to ensure that the product makes contact with the pest
My goal is to kill springtails on contact while leaving residual effects in a single application.
Yes, Evergreen Pyrethrum Concentrate is an oil-based concentrate.
I mixed the product in a gallon hand held sprayer and sprayed on my lawn for a web worm problem and the grass has turn brown and dry and appears to be dead. What should I do!!!
Evergreen Pyrethrum Concentrate should not cause damage to the lawn unless it was under stress or the temperatures were really high when applied and too high rates were used. If this just happened sometimes adding charcoal and watering regularly could help but it has to be done right after it happens. Now you can water and basically give it time and see if it can recover.
You may apply Evergreen Pyrethrum Concentrate anywhere from 1:1 to 1:8 ratio as shown on the product label on page 4. The amount of product you will need will depend on your dilution ratio. Please take a moment to review the product label for more information and complete application instructions.
I am using the Mass organic apple spray schedule, but need an insecticide for post petal drop sprays to kill circulio
Evergreen Pyrethrum Concentrate is not labeled for plum curculio. You may consider using Bonide Eight Insect Control - Vegetable Fruit & Flower which can be used to control plum curculio on apple trees if used as directed on the product label.
Yes, you can dilute Evergreen Pyrethrum Concentrate at 1 - 3 oz. per gallon of water for indoor use. Please refer to the label for complete instructions. You can find more information on how to treat for flies by reading our Fly Control Guide.

We are looking for an organic product to use on the interior of the home for general pest control. We shy away from using essential-oil based products like essentria because we worry that they will cause discoloration due to the oil components. Having said that, is Evergreen pyrethrum also heavily oil based? Will it cause any discoloration to baseboards, wood floors, or carpets?
Evergreen Pyrethrum Concentrate is an oil-based concentrate that should not cause harm or cause discoloration to baseboards or carpeting when used at the correct labeled rates. If there is any cause for concern, it’s recommended to spot treat an inconspicuous area first. It should not be broadcast over carpeted areas or over hardwood flooring. It should only be used around baseboards, doors and windows, and in cracks and crevices.

Evergreen Pyrethrum Concentrate can be applied anytime you’re experiencing pest activity.
Yes Evergreen Pyrethrum Concentrate would be safe to use as a soil drench to act as a contact kill on the pests you are targeting under the plant. Make sure you follow any label restrictions and instructions for use for mix rates and safety.

Evergreen Pyrethrum Concentrate is only a contact kill and will not provide a residual.
Yes, the Evergreen Pyrethrum Concentrate recommends to avoid possible harm to beneficial insects apply when the non-target insects are least active.
Evergreen Pyrethrum Concentrate is not labeled to be used in residential gardening, A great alternative would be Pyganic Gardening which has a broad list of vegetables listed. Please refer to the product label for the vegetables that you are treating.

I have a bad potato bug infestation in my small back yard garden. They are down in the roots noticed when pulling.
Evergreen Pyrethrum Concentrate is labeled for treatment of potato beetles and for use on greenhouse vegetables, however there is some risk of phytoxicity on outdoor growing crops. We would suggest using Pyganic Gardening instead for plant safety.
