Farnam Scarlex Scarlet Oil Spray Wound Dressing is an all-in-one antiseptic, germicidal and fungicidal formula for horses and ponies. It features a slow-drying and soothing formula that is designed to effectively clean and treat wounds properly after injury to minimize the risk of infection. It contains Scarlet Oil, along with powerful ingredient P-Chloro-M-Xylenol which effectively disinfect wounds without irritating the skin tissue. This antiseptic dressing can be used for surface wounds, cuts, minor skin lesions, and burns, as well as for superficial dermatitis. Product comes in an easy-to-use spray can.

Remove protective cap. Point nozzle opening toward wound or affected area to be treated. Spray from a distance of 2 to 4 inches. Release spray by pressing valve stem down for just an instant. A one second application over the area to be treated provides an adequate dosage. Application should be repeated daily until healing takes place. When possible, affected areas should be clean and dry prior to application. Do not use on exceedingly large areas or in deep wounds

Farnam Scarlex Scarlet Oil Spray Wound Dressing is only labeled to be used on horses and ponies so would not be recommended on dogs. You can use the Farnam Wound - Kote Blue Lotion Spray instead which is for dogs and horses.
