It is recommended to rotate baits every 4-6 months if you still need to treat to prevent bait aversion. It honestly sounds like you have a much higher rodent population than you may realize, or you could have some alpha rodents eating more than is needed for a lethal dose, which means less bait for other rodents to consume, so replenishing has to happen for that reason as well. It is suggested that once you open a bucket of bait it should be used up within 1 year.
