Ferti-Lome Azalea, Camellia, Rhododendron Food 9-15-13 contains a balanced plant food plus vital trace elements to create an acid growing condition that allows azaleas, camellias and rhododendrons to thrive and grow. Ferti-Lome Azalea, Camellia, Rhododendron Food 9-15-13 supplies the proper major plant nutrients as well as helps control soil acidity. While soil texture begins at planting, acidity should be controlled continuously during the plant's life. Plant nutrients are needed throughout the year, and the following are recommendations for proper feeding.
Feed existing plants in very early Spring, and again after blooming, and again in the Fall. Apply the plant food evenly to the soil out under the spread of the widest branches but away from the trunk. Use 1/4 to 1/2 cup of plant food for plants 1 to 5 feet in height. Use 3/4 to 1 1/4 cups for plants 6 to 12 feet in height. Always water in gently after application.

Right size lpurchase for a lot of azalea plants

My wife and I love azaleas and camellias and have always had a large number of plants around the yard. When it comes time to fertilize we usually need more than just the three or four pound package of plant food. I don't like spending more than I should because the stores don't carry a larger container which would allow the buyer to realize savings. I found Ferti-Lome online in 15 pound bags. I ordered three bags which were shipped free. It takes about one bag to feed the plants that we have, and I still have enough for two more feedings. No more overspending on the tiny bags.

My crape myrtles have never been happier.

I used this ferti-lome on azaleas and crape myrtles in the spring. The crape myrtles loved it and I've never had a better year of blooms. The neighbor even commented on how impressive they were looking. I'm giving a fall retreatment and will repeat the same next year.
