Product Overview

Ferti-Lome Fruit Tree Spray with Neem Py is a multi-purpose spray that can be used up to the day of harvest as an insecticide, fungicide, and miticide. This product combines the natural power of Pyrethrins, with the synergist PBO, and Neem Oil to protect your plants. Apply Ferti-Lome Fruit Tree Spray with Neem Py early in the morning or late in the afternoon (or evening) for the best results. During these times the temperatures will be lower and direct sunlight will not be likely to cause leaf burn, and many insects will be resting underneath plant foliage.

This not doing the job for long term only the day you used it. I woud not buy this spray again. DoMyOwnPestcontrol is getting to high on there prices. You can buy cheaper on other websites.

    Expert ResponseExpert response:
Many products that are approved for use on edible plants are only a contact kill and/or have a short residual. We are happy to offer suggestions for other choices, but we would need to know more about what you are treating and on what kinds of plants. Regarding pricing, we do always offer Fast, Free Shipping, and we have an Internet Low Price Guarantee. If you see a lower price on another website, we are happy to match or beat that price. Please feel free to call us toll free at 866-581-7378 M-F 9a-5p EST, or to email us anytime at [email protected] for assistance with either of these issues.

Very pleased with Ferti-Lome Fruit Tree Spray

    By Becky on 10/13/2017

We were looking for something that wasn't toxic for our apple trees and this product fit the bill perfectly - with the added benefit of being useful as an insecticide, fungicide, and miticide!! We're very pleased with the results and would recommend to everyone. NOTE: We live in central North Dakota so temperatures have to be monitored closely in the spring and fall before using this spray.

Q
What are the use directions for Ferti-Lome Fruit Tree Spray with Neem Py?

The label on our bottle of Ferti-lome Fruit Tree Spray was destroyed. Need directions.

A
You would mix 1 oz of the Ferti-Lome Fruit Tree Spray with Neem Py per gallon of water and spray all leave surfaces, including the underside of leafs until wet. Be sure to mix the Ferti-Lome Fruit Tree Spray with Neem Py with lukewarm water and keep agitated throughout application to prevent settling. It is best to spray early-mid morning or late afternoon. You would want to reapply every 7-14 days. Applications sooner than 7 days is not needed and is excessive. Please be sure to read the product label before use.

Q
Is it considered organic?

If I spray this on my apple and peach tree, can I still consider my fruit to be organic?

A
Ferti-Lome Fruit Tree Spray with Neem Py is not organic because it has a synergist in it. You could use something like Bayer Advanced Natria Multi-Insect Control that is all natural.

Q
After Ferti-Lome Fruit Tree Spray is used on a fruit tree can the wood from the tree be used for a smoker?

Would this product be considered safe to use if I intend to use any cut branches from the tree as a smoking wood in my bbq? If not, can you recommend one that can be used with this in mind?

A
You would not want to burn any wood that has been treated with Ferti-Lome Fruit Tree Spray with Neem Py or any other insecticide. The manufacturers do not recommend this.  Any insecticide should not be breathed in, and when burned these toxins can become airborne. It would be suggested to not burn the wood.

Q
How is Ferti-Lome Fruit Tree Spray with Neem Py around honey bees?

I have 6 hives on my property that needs to be protected. Is there another product that can be used on my fruit trees without harming the bees?

A

Ferti-Lome Fruit Tree Spray with Neem Py is going to be a contact kill product with very little, if any, residual. Per the product label, "This product is toxic to bees exposed to direct treatment. Do not apply this product while bees are actively visiting the treatment area." Unfortunately, we do not have other products that are safe for use on fruit trees which would be considered more safe for use around bees with the same labeling. If you have caterpillars or other similar feeding worm stages of insects, then you could use a Bt product such as DiPel PRO DF Biological Insecticide. Bt only targets feeding larvae stages of listed insects and is not harmful to pollinators such as bees when used as directed.
