Product Overview

Fertilome Green Maker Fertilizer 18-0-6 is a fertilizer specially made for alkaline soils. It assists in reducing soils' excessive alkalinity. The iron it contains gives the grass a richer shade of green. During the growing season, applications can be made every 4 to 6 weeks. A single 30 lb. bag can cover up to 7,200 square feet of lawn. Just apply the product evenly and water it in after application. This fertilizer works well on both warm season and cool season grasses. Best used in and around lawns, shrubs, trees, and ornamentals. It is compatible with a drop or broadcast (rotary) spreader.

CAUTION

Iron stains sidewalks, driveways and ornamental cement lawn fixtures. Use caution around these items. If this product comes in contact with sidewalks, driveways or cement lawn fixtures, sweep product off with broom. Do not try to wash product off with water.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

  • On warm season grasses such as Bermuda and St. Augustine, apply one bag per 7,200 square feet of lawn. Water in after application.
  • On cool season grasses such as Bluegrass, Fescue, and Ryegrass apply one bag per 10,800 sq. ft. of lawn. Make applications in early spring, later spring and early fall.
  • Around ornamentals and shrubs, apply one-fourth pound (about one cupful) for shrubs 3 to 4 feet across. Apply evenly under the shrub and water in well.
  • Around trees, apply three-fourths to one pound per each one inch of diameter. Apply evenly out to the drip line of the tree and water in well
