Product Overview

Ferti-Lome Horticultural Oil Spray RTS comes in a convenient RTS (ready to spray) bottle - just hook up the hose and spray! Ferti-Lome Horticultural Oil Spray RTS works as an insecticide, fungicide, and miticide. Use it at home on your vegetable and fruit gardens, and ornamental plants. Apply up to the day of harvest.

For best results the plants needing protection from the listed pests and diseases should be completely covered with spray. To be effective in killing insects the spray must completely cover the insect as it works to suffocate the insect and its eggs, larvae, and nymphs.

Easier on Ornamentals & Does a number on Whiteflies!

    By Ron on 07/08/2017

In an effort to find a more friendly method of getting rid of mites, aphids, and those nasty whitflies on our ornamental flowers this year I decided to put down the Eight/Sevin/Pyrethrin products that I normally use, which seems to cause plant stress in the hotter weather in our area and kills too many of the good bugs. When daytime temps go well over 90 during the day timing a sunset spray of those treatments is tough getting the late evening temps to be below 90. So I picked up a bottle of Ferti-Lome HOS Spray RTS with the expectation of some help, but not really expecting it to be as good as the heavier chemicals. Was I surprised. Started seeing whiteflies and aphids in the gardens on 6/18 when we had above average temps and so I proceeded to thoroughly spray till runoff all of our ornamental flowers in the gardens. We have a large number of salvia's and was concerned we'd get some kind of burn or post treatment stress in the heat. Over the next couple days we watered like normal as needed and didn't have any problems with daytime temps in the upper 80's and lower 90's. We didn't start seeing the nasty little buggers again until the weekend after the 4th of July. So I took the bottle, hooked it up to the hose, and proceeded to dose the gardens again. I like the fact that it doesn't smell like a gas spill and the fact that it also has anti-fungus and miticide properties since aphids and whiteflies are plant suckers that carry diseases to a lot of ornamentals and once it starts it's almost impossible to control without nearly killing your ornamentals. I won't use this on miniature salvia's (18-24 inch varity) since they're very picky with what you spray on them; however, all of our other plants get the treatment and do really well using this product. It keeps aphids and whiteflies in check for a couple good weeks and it's not as temperature sensitive as other products. You can apply as often as you need just like the label says and if you have questions that you can't find answers for Feti-Lome support will answer any questions you ask of them just like domyown does if you have questions that they aren't able to answer. Very good product, great service from domyown, and very happy it works and isn't as tough on all the good bugs and plants.
