    Is there a Fertilome product that will kill grasses but not kill Irises?

    Fertilome Over The Top II is labeled to control grassy weeds and it does list the iris as a tolerant ornamental. Be sure to follow the product label instructions for best results.

    What is the mixing ratio of Ferti-lome Over the Top II Grass Killer to 1 gallon of water?

    You can use 1 oz. of Ferti-lome Over the Top II Grass Killer with 1 oz of spreader sticker or another surfactant in 1 gallon of water to cover 1,800 square feet of area.

    Can Fertilome Over the Top II Grass Killer be used on St. Augustine grass?
    I have a beautiful St. Augustine lawn with several areas being effected with Bermuda grass. Can I use this to treat the Bermuda and not kill the St. Augustine?

    Bermuda grass is so closely related to St. Augustine grass that there is nothing that will remove Bermuda from St. Augustine and not hurt the St Augustine as well.  In your situation it is recommended to spot treat the Bermuda with a non-selective glyphosate product and kill it directly, and then replant St. Augustine in those areas.

    Can I use Fusilade to kill crabgrass among Dymondia?
    Having terrible trouble with crabgrass in my established (1 year) Dymondia. Are there weed killers that won't kill the Dymondia?

    Fertilome Over the Top II can be used over flowers, ground cover, trees, etc. We recommend doing a test spot treatment before applying as a broadcast since Dymondia is not specifically listed as a tolerant plant on the label. Fusilade II Herbicide could discolor or suppress Dymondia. We would not recommend to apply it over Dymondia. Depending on what you are treating, you would want to hand pick or spot treat with Round Up.

    Is it safe to spray Fertilome Over The Top II on weeds in shore juniper and around azaleas? Will it kill English ivy?

    Fertilome Over The Top II Grass Killer can be used to treat grassy weeds in juniper.  It can also be used around azaleas but the manufacturer recommends that you use caution during application because the spray can cause damage if it comes into direct contact with foliage.  Fertilome Over The Top II is not labeled to control English ivy.

    Will Fertilome Over the Top II Grass Killer hurt poppies, sunflowers, mum's and dasies?
    Will it hurt my poppies? Daisies, sunflowers, mum's.

    Fertilome Over the Top II Grass Killer is only labeled to kill grasses and should not harm desirable plants when used as directed on the product label.  Daisy is the only one you mentioned on the label so we would recommend applying only to a small area to ensure it will not harm the others.

    In Texas, what is the best thing to kill Johnson Grass growing through felt and granite xeriscape?

    Fertilome Over the Top II is one of the most popular herbicides to kill grasses such as Johnsongrass around landscape ornamentals. We are not sure if it would behave differently in xeriscaping or not, just be sure to check the product label to be sure that your plants will be tolerant to it. Be sure to use a surfactant such as Hi-Yield Spreader Sticker with Over the Top II.

    Can Over the Top be used to kill bermuda in a fescue lawn?
    I have spots of bermuda I would like to kill. Is this the product for that or is there another one that will?

    Fertilome Over the Top II Grass Killer is a grass killer so it will bermudagrass and fescue grass.  Bermuda would be considered a grassy weed, so you need a product that is geared towards grassy weeds and not broadleaf weeds.  We want to be clear that bermuda can be suppressed, but it is VERY difficult to kill completely.  It will take multiple treatments to finally kill it.  Turflon Ester would be one that could be used if you have tall fescue.

    Ferti-lome Over the Top II Grass Killer would be a great option to control annual and perennial grasses invading your vegetable garden. It can safely be applied to tomatoes, green beans and squash. It is very important to use a surfactant or spreader/sticker with this product to maximize its effectiveness such as the Hi-Yield Spreader Sticker.

    Will your red mite spray end this insect including its nest/home?
    I have red mites on my sidewalk, front steps, around my swimming pool, on the plastic chairs and other outside furniture.

    Fertilome Red Spider and Mite Spray can help you kill the spider mites but it is mainly meant for use on plants. Red Spider and Mite spray will only kill the mites that are present when you do the actual application and it will not be transported back to their nest or harborage areas. We recommend you use a product that will leave a residual such as Talstar P. Talstar P can last for up to 1 month outdoors and can be used in all of the areas indicated except for the furniture. Talstar P will not be transported back to their harborage either but it will keep killing the mites that walk on the treated area for up to one month.
