This Over the Top II is a great product that works very well as long as you follow the instructions to the letter. You must use an oil additive with it, such as Spreader Sticker, because all grass, even crab grass, has a waxy coating that causes water and chemicals to bead up and run off, thus greatly reducing the effectiveness of any chemical. I used Spreader Sticker with the Over the Top II and all of the crab grass that I sprayed had stopped growing after 24 hours and was completely dead within 10 days. Of course I sprayed the crab grass when it was still relatively small. It also worked, with the same result, on the Bermuda grass I sprayed.

I am currently using this product to kill the grass that is growing in my Strawberry Groundcover. It looks like it is working. I was dubious, since I could not find an Ortho or Monsanto product that claimed to kill grass but leave groundcover unharmed. However, I am also incredibly lazy, so I decided to try it. It works.

I used this with the wetting agent on grass growing in pachysandra that had been impossible to remove even by getting it out at the roots. It took perhaps two weeks and in a few cases a second treatment but the grass died the the ground cover was fine. A very useful product.

I had been so discouraged these last several years manually fighting what I think was Johnson Grass growing throughout my daylily beds. Was ready to pull them all up if necessary. When I found Over-the Top II during a web search I had high hopes it might be the answer to my problem. Used it with a sticker and it rained about 3 hours after application. Watched for results and didn't lose patience - it took almost 2 weeks, but like a miracle, the grass turned brown and died. Now, a month later, no sign of that dreadful grass ruining the appearance of my lily beds.

I have two large areas of Asiatic Jasmine groundcover where grass was growing through it. It's impossible to pull the grass out. None of the local Nurseries had a clue of anything that can selectively kill the grass without harming the Jasmine. I was considering pulling out the Jasmine & grass and replanting the areas (ugh!). Searched the internet & found Over the Top. I've treated the areas probably 5-6 times over the last month and I'm now seeing the grass die, without harming the Jasmine. In my case, it was very slow acting & you have to stay at it. Overall, very happy - saved a ton of work.

I have a large bank in the front of my house that have ground cover, but the weeds take over and it is impossible to get them out, this product saves my back. thank you for your help.

Bermuda grass started to appear in our well established Myoporum ground cover. Applied this product and Bermuda began to die. Allied a second application about two weeks later as there still some life, and now completely eradicated. No damage to Myoporum.
