    Q
Does Ferti-lome Triple Action work against Clover Mites?
    A

Yes, Triple Action will kill clover mites on contact. This would typically be used for clover mites that are found on edible plants such as vegetables or herbs. Be sure to get good coverage on all the leaf surfaces (top and bottom). If you are needing to treat on a structure itself for clover mites, the we would recommend Talstar P, which is a residual insecticide.

    Q
Is Ferti-lome Triple Action harmful to hummingbirds?
    A

Triple Action Plus/Triple Action Plus II has been remade and is now Fertilome Triple Action with 70% Neem Oil in which they have removed the PBO making it safe for organic gardening as it contains only all-natural products.  The Pyrethrin in the Fertilome Triple Action will harm bees, but not hummingbirds if they are in the area during treatment or contact a wet surface after application.  Be sure to apply only in the early morning or late evening to limit the contact with bees.  The product is safe when used as directed on the product label.

    Q
Can I mix Ferti-lome Triple Action with Ultra-Pure Oil? If so what would be the ratio?
    A

There wouldn't be any reason to mix Fertilome Triple Action with Ultra Pure Oil, as both are designed to do the same thing, just use a different oil type in each. You do not want to overload your plants with oils as this can cause plant burn. If you are wanting to use both products, you can alternate each application with them, and reapply every 7-10 days as needed. Fertilome Triple Action is used at 1 oz per gallon of water. You will need to consult the Ultra Pure Oil Product Label for mixing instructions as it varies by plant species and targeted pest/disease.

    Q
Will Ferti-lome Triple Action work on a tall tree for mites?
    A

You can use Ferti-lome Triple Action to control mites on a variety of trees, however on taller trees you still need to contact the insects directly with the spray to control the mites. So you would still need to spray the foliage thoroughly to get good control using this or any other product for mite control on a tree.
