In fact, it shold not be applied if rainfall is expected within 4 hours as it may lessen the effectiveness. Since the product was used off label and without being diluted, it is possible that your St. Augustine grass will be damaged if the application doesn't kill it. We would recommend to water it in as much as possible to try to save it.
