Yes, as long as you follow the label instructions of Ferti-Lome Winterizer for Established Lawns 10-0-14 it can be safe for pets. In general, keep pets out of the treatment area until the application is dry.

Ferti-Lome Winterizer for Established Lawns 10-0-14 is labeled for use in Lawns, trees, shrubs, ornamentals, evergreens, roses, azaleas, camellias, and gardenias. You would not be able to apply in any edible gardens.

Ferti-Lome Winterizer for Established Lawns 10-0-14 is going to help your lawn build hardiness for the winter, develop stronger stems, better root systems and resistance to disease through the cold months. Applications in late fall before and up to the first frost would be the best time to apply to your lawn. After the first frost, temperatures would not be ideal to apply the product and would likely not be absorbed in the soil due to the cold and freezing ground temperatures. Ferti-Lome Winterizer for Established Lawns 10-0-14 is only a fertilizer, it will not control any weeds. If you want to fertilize and kill and prevent the dollarweed you can use Ferti-lome Broadleaf Weed Control with Gallery.
