    Q
Will this eliminate fungus gnats in my 3 car garage that is 900 sq fr?
    A

The CB PCO Fogger with Pyrethrins will kill the exposed gnats, but it will most likely have no effect on their eggs. The eggs are usually protected because of their hard shell and because they are placed into voids, cracks, crevices, and other protected areas where the fogger is unlikely to penetrate. If you suspect that the gnats are breeding and laying eggs indoors, you should try to find the area where they are depositing their eggs. Depending on the type of gnat you are dealing with, they could be developing in drains, soil in potted plants, organic buildup in the bottom of trash cans, debris under appliances, etc. In most cases, a thorough cleaning of the infested area is needed.

    Q
I have bees entering and exiting my house on the outside. I have been spraying insecticide to the visible outdoor hole. They are now getting inside the house.
    A

The chemical you could use is Bifen IT, it has over 75 different insects on the label so it's a good general insecticide. You can spray where you have seen the most activity and it will provide a contact kill that will affect their nervous system and they can spread it throughout the hive. It is safe to use indoors and outdoors. You will mix at 1 oz per gallon of water and spray over 1000 sq ft. It is pet and child-safe as long as you are not treating while they are present and then for at least 2 hours after application to allow it to dry.

Another option would be to use Tempo 1% Dust, it will kill bees that contact the product and those they contact may also be killed by grooming each other and spreading it.

    Q
Can the fogger be used in a bedroom?
With clothes; we have moths; smallish. We bought box sticky catchers and I can't figure out where they are coming from. I've washed suspect sweaters in hot water and dried some in heat. Will these ruin hardwood, sheets? furniture, clothes if sitting on a dresser, etc?
    A

Yes, you can use FMC Pyrethrin Fogger in your bedroom, however, it is always recommended to wash any clothing that has come in contact with the fog after dispensing. If the clothes don't need to be treated with the product, you can bag the clothes and seal them off before using the fogger in desired areas.

    Q
What do you recommend to eliminate a hornet nest in an attic?
It’s a brick home and the hornets are accessing the attic by using the mortar recesses between bricks as a pathway.
    A

The Pyrethrin Fogger is not labeled to be used inside of attics but you may consider the Pro-Control Plus Total Release instead. Otherwise, if you can dust the entry point that the wasps are entering through you can dust it directly with Delta Dust Insecticide. The dust will leave a residual that they will take back with them & share with other wasps they come in contact with

    Q
can the Pyrethrin Fogger be used for skin eating mites in bed sheets?
    A

Mites generally do not bite people, so without a proper ID of what may be biting you it is hard to recommend a product that will work. You may consider using Steri-Fab Insecticide. It is labeled for mites, kills on contact & can be used on different frabics. You may also considering drying your sheets in high heat as high heat will kill any insects that may be on surfaces. We would also try putting down glue boards where you see/find the most activity to try to capture these pests. If you can get a clear enough picture we can try to idenfity them. Otherwise, if they are too small or too unclear to take a picture of, you may take samples to your local extension office

    Q
Would the Pyrethrin Fogger work for roaches?
Have done a hotshot bombs but they didn't die still have roaches. For a mobile home 14x80 2 bedroom and 2full bath. What would I need?
    A

Foggers such as the Pyrethrin Fogger should only be used for initial knock down of heavy populations before following up with appropriate residual and total colony elimination products and methods. Foggers will not eliminate entire roach colonies within a home by themselves.

One of our roach control kits would be recommended for roach control. These professional kits includes non-staining, low odor concentrated insecticide for spraying the outside perimeter of the home and inside underneath appliances, behind cabinets, under toilets and sinks, etc. You'll also get Roach Bait Gel to help get rid of those roaches that like to hide. Baits can be applied up high in the kitchen in the corner of cabinets and in cracks and crevices in kitchens and bathrooms. The bait contains a slow-acting poison that attracts and kills feeding roaches, who also spread the bait to other roaches by contact or by sharing food. Finally, an Insect Growth Regulator is offered which will stop roaches from laying eggs, helping to halt the infestation. The combination of an IGR with roach bait is a highly effective roach control strategy that is widely used by pest control professionals. The insecticide must be applied with a 1 gallon pump sprayer.

    Q
Will the Pyrethrin Fogger kill Scabies mites?
    A

Pyrethrin Fogger is not labeled for scabies. Scabies mites live on/in the skin and we do not carry anything to treat humans. Most folks need to visit their doctor to receive the medication needed to get rid of scabies. If you are treating livestock you can look at using a product like Permethrin SFR. You may spray your furniture with a product such as Steri-fab to kill anything on furniture, though treating the home is usually not necessary.

    A

Pyrethrin Fogger is only for indoor use.  It would not spread far from where it is placed.  If you are not able to see/get to the nest and treat directly it would be best to contact a local company to come out and do so.

    Q
Will the Pyrethrin Fogger kill booklice?
    A

Pyrethrin Fogger is not labeled for booklice. The best way to control booklice is by lowering the humidity in the infested areas which in turn will help eliminate the mold and fungus these insects need to survive. Infested furniture and carpeting should be thoroughly steam cleaned and vacuumed. You can spray your furniture with Sterifab to get rid of any lingering insects. Cracks and crevices around baseboards, door frames, window frames, and other harborage areas can safely be treated with Cy-Kick Aerosol. You can also follow up with a dusting of Cimexa dust to help eliminate these pests in carpet and in cracks and crevices around the home.

    A

Pyrethrin Fogger should not be used in a stove to get rid of roaches. We recommend that you use normal household cleaners labeled for stoves to clean them. Q
Is the Pyrethrin Fogger a good treatment if moving into an older rental house that has not been taken care of? Would like to "clean out" the home of common bugs including bed bugs if they are there. We haven't noticed any, we just want to take care of any bugs in there.
    A

The Pyrethrin Fogger would be a good way to kill insects that are out at the time the fogger is dispursed however would not leave any residual and will not get insects that are hiding in cracks and crevices or behind walls. It does not treat for bed bugs.

    Q
If you use a Pyrethrin Fogger in an attic, do you need to worry about appliances that cycle on and off like a refrigerator?
I want to fog my attic. Just for pest control. House is a small ranch. If I am using the fogger in the attic, do I need to turn my refrigerator off. And if so how long does the refrigerator need to be off?
    A

There would be no cause of concern for appliances that are not in the room and would not be exposed to the fumes of the Pyrethrin Fogger unless the attic is a room that's less than 5 ft x 5 ft or smaller. Per the label (page 2), a room that's 5 ft x 5 ft or smaller will need to remain open and allow the fog to enter from other rooms, if this is the case then all ignition sources and electrical appliances that cycle off and on will need to be turned off.

    Q
Will the Pyrethrin Fogger kill a moth infestation in my air conditioning vents?
    A

Pyrethrin Fogger will only kill moths and other insects that are out in the open at the time you set them off.  The fog will not get into air vents and we do not have anything that you can use in that area.  It might be best to contact a company to come out and clean the ducts if you suspect the moths are infesting that area.
