We recommend reaching out directly to the manufacturer of Fusilade II Herbicide for advise on helping to rid your washing machine of the scent of the product. Syngenta can be contacted by either calling 1-866-796-4368, or by visiting their website's contact page here.
We are not familiar with the specific RoundUp you will be mixing as well as a product called cavalier. Please provide details on both items for further information regarding tank mixing.
Bermudagrass is extremely difficult to eliminate and will require several applications and most likely a few seasons. When using Fusilade II Herbicide to remove bermudagrass from Tall Fescue, a Fall application and Spring application is recommended. Fall applications should done in Sept/Oct when bermudagrass is preparing for doramancy and then again in early Spring (April/May) when the bermuda is transitioning out of dormancy. The rate for eliminating bermudagrass from Tall Fescue is 5-6 fl oz per acre in no less than 30 gallons of water/acre. This breaks down to to be 0.11 to 0.13 fl oz per ½ gallon of water per 1000 sq ft
Any discoloration, slow down in growth or discoloration of Tall Fescue should recover within 2 weeks after the application. Please view page 12 of the product label for more information.
It is recommended to wait 14 days following an application of Fusilade II Herbicide to reseed/seed desirable grasses on established turf. For bare ground areas which have been treated, wait 30 days to reseed/seed.
Please view the product label for more information.
Fusilade is not labeled to treat Spanish Needle. Most folks use Glyphosate based products to target this hard to kill weed. The article here explains eradication in detail.
Fusilade II Herbicide is not labeled to kill Sorrel, it only use to control grassy weeds.
Fusilade II Herbicide can be tank mixed with other herbicides on certain turfgrasses listed on the label. Follow the Tank Mixing instructions on the product label and we suggest doing small compatibility test first in a glass jar to ensure the products will mix together.
Fusilade II Herbicide will not suppress or control zoysiagrass. Hi Yield Triclopyr Ester, or the ingredient Triclopyr in general, is a commonly used herbicide to kill bermuda and zoysia in a cool season lawn such as fescue.
Ideally, zoysia is best controlled when it's in the transition state from dormant to green up, or green to dormant. Summer is when zoysia thrives so you will have a harder time controlling it during these months.
Fusilade II Herbicide can be applied over-the-top of bird of paradise plants without causing harm. Please review the product label for application instructions.
Fusilade II when used with a Non Ionic Surfactant kills grassy weeds such as bermudagrass in landscape beds, flower beds, and around ornamentals. This would also kill the bermudagrass lawn so precautions should be taken to avoid any overspray or drift to nearby turf.
Bermudagrass is extremely difficult to eliminate and will require repeat applications and could take multiple seasons to control.
Fusilade II Herbicide is not labeled to be used around edible vegetation. If you have already treated inside the drip line of the tree, we would recommend to skip eating the fruit for at least one growing season.
For actively growing weeds, Avenger Weed Killer Concentrate is OMRI listed and great for organic gardening. This is a non-selective herbicide, made from the rind of oranges to control most annual grasses, weeds and broadleaves. It contains the active ingredient, D-limonene (citrus oil), which naturally takes away the waxy plant cuticle so the plant ends up being dehydrated and then dies.
Please refer to the manufacturer's product label for complete application instructions, and use only as directed.
Performing an application of Fusilade II with a hand held pump sprayer will ensure a more precise mixture than using a hose end sprayer. It can be applied to residential areas per the product label. Please refer to the product table for specific dilution ratios. Usage chart for spot treatments:
1 gallon water + .75 fl oz of Fusilade + .5 oz surfactant
10 gallons water + 6.5 fl oz Fusilade + 3 oz surfactant
25 gallons water + 1 pint Fusilade + .5 pint surfactant
50 gallon water + 1 qt Fusilade + 1 pint surfactant
Fusilade II Herbicide is not labeled to be used around edible vegetation. If treated, blueberries should be discarded and not consumed.
Grass Out Max is labeled use around blueberries. Please refer to page 13 of the product label for more information.
We would recommend contacting the manufacturer or the County Extension office for specific timing recommendations on using Fusilade II Herbicide to kill bermudagrass in zoysiagrass earlier than recommended on the product label. Otherwise, you will want to wait until the recommended time on the product label of “late spring around June 1st” to ensure the bermuda is completely out of dormancy.
Follow the recommended rates in the Over-spray Zoysiagrass Section on page 11 of the product label.Syngenta can be reached directly at 904-718-1845 for more information.
Fusilade II Herbicide will only control grassy weeds listed on the label it will not effect broadleaf weeds such as oxalis. Best option really is to hand pull or very carefully spot treat with a nonselective herbicide avoiding any contact with the roses.
Unfortunately, Fusilade II Herbicide is not labeled to treat succulent plants. Since it has not been tested on succulents we are not sure if the product would harm them.
We would recommend contacting the manufacturer Syngenta directly or doing a small test application to determine if any injury would occur. Syngenta can be reached at 866-796-4368
No, Fusilade II Herbicide is not labeled for dallisgrass. View our Dallisgrass Treatment Guide for more information and product recommendations.
Fusilade II Herbicide is actually labeled as safe to use on zoysia grass as directed, so we do not recommend using this to try and kill zoysia in your jasmine. Unfortunately, we do not have a grass killer that is labeled to control zoysia in groundcovers.
You may hand pull the grass or consider spot treating it carefully using a non-selective herbicide such as Hi-Yield Killzall.
