The product label for Fusilade II Herbicide specifies that it is safe to use for directed applications around Bugle Weed (Ajuga Variegata) or Variegated Ajuga (Ajuga reptans). Over-the-top applications may cause up to 20% phytotoxicity on these and other plants listed in Table 2. We would recommend testing around a few plants as directed treatment rather than over the top if you are spraying around plants not listed on the product label. This allows you to check for tolerance before treating a larger area.
Yes, Fusilade II Herbicide is safe to be used around arborvitae as well as around liriope, indian hawthorn and limelight hydraganea. Be sure to follow the instructions on the product label.
Fusilade II Herbicide is not labeled for hogweed therefore we could not guarantee its effectiveness. Unfortunately, we do not have an alternative for use in flower beds to treat for hogweed. We would suggest contacting your local master gardener for more specific assistance.
You should wait 24 hours after applying Fusilade II Herbicide to water the lawn. Be aware Fusilade II Herbicide is only labeled to be used on Tall Fescue when treating for bermudagrass only. It is not labeled to be used on fine fescue.
Fusilade II is labeled for use around iris and when used as directed should not harm them.
We don’t see any reason why Fusilade II Herbicide and Tenacity cannot be mixed in the same tank. It is recommended to do a jar test first to make sure they will mix well together in the tank.
While it is labeled for removing Bermudagrass only in Tall Fescue and Zoysia lawns, we do not recommend using Fusilade II Herbicide on your Kentucky Bluegrass as it is a grass killer and it's not labeled safe for it.
Fusilade II Herbicide is labeled safe for use in ornamental flower beds. It is a selective post-emergent herbicide that controls a long list of perennial and annual grass weeds in turf and landscaped areas. Not only is Fusilade II fast and effective, but it can be applied as a spot treatment or an over the top application without damaging ornamental plants
We apologize, but we are not familiar with a product called Fusilade Forte. We do have Fusilade II Herbicide, but this will kill your buffalo grass as it is a nonselective grass killer. Unfortunately, we do not have a product that is labeled to selectively kill couchgrass and not harm buffalo grass. Your best option would be to use a glyphosate based product like RoundUp QuikPro to spot treat then reseed/sod the buffalo in those areas.
Fusilade II Herbicide is not labeled to kill creeping thyme or other mint family plants. It is more likely that this product would be safe to use over-the-top of creeping thyme. Please let us know if this is your target plant or desirable plant and what plant you are trying to control so that we can better assist you.
Fusilade II Herbicide may discolor or suppress dymondia and is not labeled for either clover or oxalis. Unfortunately, we are not aware of a broadleaf herbicide that can safely be applied to dymondia. It is usually recommended to spot treat as much as possible with a nonselective herbicide such as Roundup QuikPro, and then replant in those areas in a couple of weeks when the weeds are gone. You may also want to contact your local cooperative extension office to see if they can recommend anything that has been successful for others in your area.
You will use 0.4 - 0.6 per 1,000 sq. ft. of Fusillade II Herbicide in at least a gallon of water.
Fusilade II Herbicide will control pampas grass and it can safely be applied to your Tall Fescue lawn. Be sure to read and follow the product label for the best results.
Fusilade II can be used to get rid of Bermuda grass in tall Fescue. Wiregrass is a form of bermudagrass. Please be advised that Bermuda grass is extremely difficult to control and you will likely need to make several applications.
Fusilade II Herbicide can be safely used in a non residential tall fescue lawn to eliminate crabgrass and suppress and control bermudagrass. Keep in mind crabgrass control this time of year is particularly difficult and may require multiple applications, and bermuda will take multiple applications as well due to how well it spreads. For a residential lawn, Gordons Ornamec 170 Grass Herbicide can be used to control Bermuda grass and crabgrass in fescue. Please refer to the product label for complete application instructions.
Per the product label, it is recommended not to mow within 7 days before or 7 days after applying Fusilade II.
El herbicida Fusilade II solo está disponible en una botella de un cuarto de galón. Se puede aplicar en un pulverizador de un galón cuando se diluye con agua.
The time it takes Fusilade II to kill weeds depends on a few different variables such as the specific weed you are targeting, the outside temperature, as well as the ground temperature. It can take up to 2 weeks to see full results.
Fusilade II Herbicide is safe for most ground covers including gazania ground cover if used as directed.
Fusilade II Herbicide is applied at the following rate for spot applications- 25 gallons water + 1 pint Fusilade + .5 pint surfactant.
Apply 0.07-0.14 oz/1000 sq. ft. (3-6 oz./A) along with 0.25% v/v (1/2 pt./25 gals.) of a nonionic surfactant. Application should be made every 28 days when the grass weeds are actively growing. Keep in mind for herbicides the amount of water is not important. What is important is getting the correct amount of product, over the correct amount of area. Mark off 1000 sq/ft and fill your sprayer tank with only water. Spray as if you were covering the area with the herbicide. However many gallons it takes you to cover that area is how many gallons to mix the product with. Everyone's walking speed and how heavily they spray is different, which is why whether you use 2 gallons or 8 gallons of water to cover 1000 sq/ft, you are correct.
