This depends on the amount of area you are treating with the 4 gallons. If you are treating 2,000 sq. ft. with 4 gallons of water, you would mix Gallery SC at 0.3 - 0.7 ounces per 1,000 sq.ft., or for 2,000 sq.ft., apply 0.6 – 1.4 oz., depending on the type of weeds you are targeting.
Gallery SC Specialty Herbicide is safe to use under a very wide variety of established ornamental trees. The product label specifically lists bear oak, pin oak, willow oak, red oak, and live oak as tolerable to Gallery SC. Although we cannot be certain the manufacturer has tested your specific tree with this application, if you are following the label applications and the trees are healthy and well-established, then they should not be harmed by Gallery SC.
Gallery SC Specialty Herbicide should not be applied to areas that will be planted or transplanted within one year after application.
Per the product label: Apply Gallery SC to newly seeded turfgrass (including overseeded turfgrass) only after seedlings are established (three leaf stage and tillering) and well rooted. Do not overseed established turfgrass sooner than 60 days following an application of Gallery SC.
Do not apply to newly seeded areas until they have been mowed at least twice or it has been 30 days so that they are established.
Gallery SC Specialty Herbicide is applied at the rate of 0.3 - .07 oz. per 1000 sq. ft in no less than 32 fl oz of water per 1000 sq ft (16 - 31 oz. per acre in no less than 10 gallons of water per acre.
Per the product label, a single rainfall or sprinkler irrigation of 0.5 inches or more, or flood irrigation after application, is necessary to activate Gallery SC. If Gallery SC is not activated by rainfall or irrigation within 21 days after application, erratic weed control may result.
