    Do point source stations have an odor?
    This seems like the product I need as I inherited a piano infested with roaches. If I place a station on the inside of a piano will the airflow release toxic fumes in the air that can damage our lungs? Or is the station odor-free? and only toxic when touched?

    Per the SDS, Gentrol Point Source stations have a faint odor. Gentrol Point Source never be used to eliminate a roach population by itself. Gentrol will not kill roaches...it only prevents them from reproducing.

    I manage an office scape environment with acoustically suspended ceilings. I am confronted seasonally
    With confused flour beetle. Might Gentrol be preemptive?
    A

    Gentrol Point Source works by damaging adult insects listed on the label, including stored product pests like confused flour beetles, and preventing them from reproducing.  Although it would not prevent confused flour beetles altogether, if you currently had adult confused flour beetles within 75 square feet of a disc placement, it would work to prevent them from reproducing.

    Does Gentrol work on multiple species of roaches?
    I live in a farmhouse in a field. Seasonally, we get random bouts of different bugs, including roaches. Anything from wood, German, and American/water roaches show up. They seem to slowly be getting immune to the spray I've been using for years. We also have a 100-year-old house with a damp crawl space. It's like you won't see roaches for months, then suddenly there are all 3 kinds in your house, then they leave again and are replaced with spiders or crickets.

    Yes, Gentrol Point Source Stations will work on a variety of species of roaches. Gentrol will not kill roaches...it only prevents them from reproducing. Gentrol Point Source should never be used to eliminate a roach population by itself.

    Will Gentrol transfer from roach to roach?
    A

    Gentrol Point Source does not have a transfer effect. This product contains a juvenile growth hormone mimic that retards the growth of certain insects making the pests unable to reproduce preventing future infestations and lowering the pest population.     Can Gentrol Point Source be used in areas where a local company has sprayed?
    A

    Yes, Gentrol Point Source can be used in combination with insecticides indoors for listed insects as they do not have any killing properties to them. They are only used to stop the growth and reproduction cycle.

    Can you replace a gentrol point source disc after its original placement to a different location?
    A

    Moving the Gentrol Point Source would not have an effect on how it works. Keep in mind they only last 3 months from the time you activate them and only cover 75 sq ft.

    How long are unused Gentrol Pointe Source Discs good for?
    If I have unused discs from a 2020 purchase are they still going to be effective?

    The Gentrol Point Source Stations when unused will have a shelf life of 5 years per the manufacturer Zoecon. Once activated, each station will continue to give out the growth-inhibiting vapor for 3 months (90 Days) before each station would need to be replaced.

    Will GPS work on clothes moths? They're laying eggs in cracks and gaps in woodwork.
    I live in Seattle, WA, which has limitations on insecticide shipment. Are there other general products that would work in my situation that you send to me?

    Will this work on fleas?
    A

    Gentrol Point Source is not labeled for fleas. If you are spraying outdoors, you may consider using Archer IGR. We have our Outdoor Flea and Tick Kit that contains the insecticide & IGR needed for outdoor flea control. For indoors you may consider using PT Alpine Flea and Bed Bug Aerosol 14 oz. which contains an IGR. Or we also have our Indoor Flea and Tick Kit which has everything to tackle an indoor flea infestation

    I live in a condo and i put the Gentrol Point Source at the side of my cabinet. Will be safe from inhalation?
    My bed is placed on the floor without any bed frame. I saw in the internet that the fumes are heavy so it might reach my sleeping area. Will I still be safe from inhalation of the disc?

    You should place a Gentrol Point Source disc in each room. For the kitchen area, you can use the sticky tabs included in the package and place the disc on the side or behind the fridge or place it to the side of the cabinets or pantry. You only need to keep the disc away from food prep areas not from stored food product. According to the manufacturer, there is almost no hazard from inhalation.

    Can I put this under my refrigerator without using adhesive, just sliding it under?

    Gentrol Point Source stations can be applied under appliances. The adhesive backing is only used for extra security such as in a vertical position. Gentrol is the aerosol version of the Gentrol Point Source stations.

    How do a attach the Gentrol Point Source vertically, there was no self adhesive in the packaging.

    I put up the gentrol months ago (maybe 6) and I’m still seeing baby roaches.

    Each Gentrol Point Source Station treats up to 75 square feet for a period of 90 days, which means each station should be replaced after 90 days in order to maintain effectiveness in that area.  We recommend that you refer to our product video here, and our helpful Cockroach Prevention Guide and Cockroach Treatment Guide for more information.

    Does it kill pantry moths. Indian meal moth etc?

    The Gentrol Point Source is labeled for roaches, and the listed Stored Product Pests (red, confused flour, and merchant beetles.  The Gentrol IGR concentrate would be the better option for you.

    Will these be effective in an attached garage?
    The garage door goes up and down multiple times per day as we come and go.

    Yes, you can place Gentrol Point Source in your garage. Just ensure the placement of the stations doesn't obstruct the normal operation of any doors.
