The IGR (Insect Growth Regulator) in Gentrol Aerosol provides preventative action, since it disrupts stored product pests' normal development. Hydroprene, the active ingredient, prevents stored product pest, drain fly, and fruit fly larvae from progressing to the pupal stage of development, so the larvae die before they become breeding adults - and future infestations. Bedbugs and roaches exposed to Gentrol Aerosol will become adults incapable of reproducing, thus ending the cycle of an infestation. Gentrol IGR also stimulates egg-bearing female roaches to leave the harborage area and feed.
Since Gentrol Aerosol IGR is not an adulticide, it should be used in conjunction with other pest control treatment methods.
Bed bugs, drain flies, fruit flies, cockroaches, stored product pests
PESTS CONTROLLED WITH GENTROL AEROSOL IGR: Roaches, Stored Product Pests (including Indian meal moths, rice moths, tobacco moths, red flour beetles, confused flour beetles, lesser grain borers, merchant grain beetles, sawtooth grain beetles, warehouse beetles, cigarette beetles, and Dermestid beetles), Drain Flies, Fruit Flies, Bedbugs
Use Gentrol Aerosol for spot, void, or crack and crevice treatment of target pests as a supplement to other pest control methods. The aerosol form of Gentrol is convenient for treating flies around drains and sinks in homes, roaches in hollow table legs and voids in commercial kitchens, and bed bugs in hotels or homes. Gentrol Aerosol IGR has a foaming action for voids and a crack and crevice straw for hard to reach spots. The ready-to-use formulation is also convenient for small applications. Gentrol Aerosol IGR should not be used as the sole treatment for any of the listed pests as it is not an insecticide, just an insect growth regulator.
Gentrol Aerosol is ideal for:
ACTIVE INGREDIENT: Hydroprene 0.36%
Shake well before use. As a general surface spray or spot treatment, Gentrol Aerosol is applied with a sweeping motion over a surface. Its visible, dissipating foam virtually eliminates the chance of missing any areas. You'll receive the same superior coverage for crack-and-crevice applications with Gentrol Aerosol's extension tube, designed for simple, accurate application in hard-to-reach areas.
To apply as a general surface or spot application, hold can 10” to 12” away from surface to be treated. Use a sweeping motion over the surface to be treated for complete coverage. This product applies as a light foam that dissipates readily. An oily residue may be apparent in heavy applications. The visibility of the dissipating foam eliminates the possibility of missed areas. For crack and crevice applications, use the supplied extension tube and apply to wall voids, hollow table legs, tube iron, gondola frames, voids, and supports.
Apply once a month for continuous protection, or more often if conditions warrant.
*Always read the product label completely before use.
Each 16 oz. can covers approximately 1200 square feet.

Indoors-
FOR BEDBUG Treatments:
GENTROL AEROSOL contains GENTROL Insect Growth Regulator (IGR). The IGR disrupts the normal development of bedbugs. Bedbugs exposed to GENTROL AEROSOL will become adults incapable of reproducing, thus ending the cycle of an infestation. Use GENTROL AEROSOL in areas such as, but not limited to: apartment buildings, hospitals, residential homes, hotels/motels, nursing homes, and marine vessels.
Spot or Crack and Crevice Applications:
Apply GENTROL AEROSOL as a crack and crevice application using the supplied extension tube. Apply directly to areas such as: wall voids, pipe chases, crevices, and false ceilings. Apply spot treatments to areas such as: storage areas, closets, furniture and beds. To treat bedbugs, apply to harborage points mentioned above; in addition, under beds, bottom side of box springs (do not treat linens and mattresses), under and behind night stands, to points where carpet and wall meet, cracks in cove base, molding, and other areas where bedbugs harborage. Retreat at 14 days for heavy infestations.
For Control of Drain Flies and Fruit Flies: Apply GENTROL AEROSOL to areas of fly breeding. For drains, apply product into and around the downspout and catch basin area. Coat these areas thoroughly as fly larva develop in the scum buildup on the sides of drain pipes. Repeat applications at 2 to 4 week intervals depending upon the severity of infestation.
Pantry/Cabinets, Small Food Storage Areas: Apply as a surface spray, crack and crevice spray, or spot treatment to pantry and cupboard shelves or other areas where food is stored. Prior to spraying, remove all food containers and foodstuffs. Do not replace food containers or foodstuffs until spray has dried. Dispose of any infested food packages or materials.
Outdoors-
Gentrol IGR is not intended for outdoor use.
German Cockroaches Completely Gone
By Conrad on 12/13/2010
I had a huge problem with German Cockroaches. I tried raid, sticky traps, and even resorted to baking soda. Nothing worked and they kept showing up in my kitchen sink. I finally searched online and came across the Gentrol Aerosol. I sprayed every crack known to man and within days they were gone. I started seeing a bunch of dead cockroaches and knew this product did the trick. Highly recommend against German Cockroaches.

Gentrol for Drain flies
By Lee on 06/10/2010
We had an infestation of drain flies after a busted pipe was repaired under our kitchen slab. The plumbing company sprayed our drains and cleaned them by flushing them with hot water. They charged us $165. However, three weeks later, we still had them in the hundreds. I ordered Gentrol from DoMyOwnPestControl, and am very happy with the results. We are only seeing one or two on occasion and with another application or two we should be rid of them entirely. This company has excellent products and service. The shipping was fast and the product well packaged. Love the free shipping. I will definitely purchase from them again.

Zaps roaches better than professional services!
By Beachy on 07/01/2011
We own several rental properties and the worst thing is to have roaches take over a place. After spending lots of money on professional pest services we took things into our own hands several years ago, and started using Gentrol with whatever bait sounded best and the glue traps to pick up the stragglers. Have been able to totally eradicate roach infestations 100% of the time. Rarely requires retreatment.

Really worked
By Jonathan on 08/04/2008
We used Gentrol IGR aerosol to attack a really horrendous roach problem in our house. Nothing else had had the slightest effect on this infestation, including two different visits by professional exterminators. Gentrol really worked, though it took several weeks to collapse the population. The present order of concentrate is to take care of a few stragglers, and keep our protection up.

Phorid Flies
By Randy on 09/23/2010
This product works. I've been trying to determine the source of our phorid fly infestation for almost a year. We do not have any plumbing leaks. We fogged the house and used the sticky bug lights which kept the problem under control but never eliminated the flies. After treating all the obvious sources of infestation with drain foams, I finally realized I may never find every potential breeding location. I sprayed all the baseboards, cracks and crevices over my entire house with this product and within two days I noticed a significant decline. Within a week, we only have two new flies on the bug lights. I will be treating again in another week as directed on the instructions. In summary, I believe our year long nightmare is finally coming to an end.

I have a serious bed bug infestation, and I would like to know if I can use both products at the same in the same crevices and baseboards.
Can Gentrol Aerosol IGR be sprayed behind and under refrigerators to control German Roaches, I'm also using Suspend sc concentrate. And if so is there a residual with Gentrol.
