Gentrol Point Sources should be used where there is roach activity. There is not a problem placing these point sources near bait. The ideal places include cabinets, closets, pantries, drawers, refuse areas, electrical boxes, equipment, false ceilings, and around doors, expansion joints, pipe chases, dressers, windows, heating and air conditioning ducts, refrigerators, and voids where pests are active.

Gentrol Point Source after the capsule has been opened, it releases microscopic particles that actually fly through the air on particles that are normally flying around. Neither Gentrol Point Source or any other IGR on the market will stop the reproductive cycle of spiders. You will just need to spray diligently with spider control insecticides in areas they would harbor.

Gentrol Point Source could be used under a couch if needed. It spreads up to 75 square feet so is generally placed in areas of high activity. Depending on the size of the treatment area, place 2-4 in the kitchen and 1-2 in each bathroom as these are the most common areas roaches are found.
There would be no added benefit of using the Gentrol Point Source if the Gentrol IGR Concentrate has been applied. It would not repel them from an area, but it would just be a waste of product since they work the same way.

Gentrol Point Source is not labeled for carpet beetles. However, Gentrol IGR Aerosol and Gentrol IGR Concentrate are both labeled for Dermestid beetles and carpet beetles are a type of Dermestid. You should use Gentrol with an insecticide spray to help eliminate the infestation. When dealing with carpet beetles it is very important to find and remove the source of the beetles to get rid of them for good. No Gentrol Point Source will not keep the bedbugs or instars from feeding. It is an insect growth regulator that will only effect their reproductive systems, not their feeding habits.
