    Can I place Gentrol Point Sources near bait stations if I am using them by themselves?
    If i use the gentrol by itself instead of using it with spray can i place it near bait stations

    Gentrol Point Sources should be used where there is roach activity. There is not a problem placing these point sources near bait. The ideal places include cabinets, closets, pantries, drawers, refuse areas, electrical boxes, equipment, false ceilings, and around doors, expansion joints, pipe chases, dressers, windows, heating and air conditioning ducts, refrigerators, and voids where pests are active.

    How does the Gentrol Point Source disperse?
    Is the hydroprene in the Gentrol Point Source disks dispersed via vapor pressure or do the bugs track it around the house? I like the safety and effectiveness of hydroprene, but I feel uneasy about having an IGR product aerosolized or constantly lingering as a vapor in my house.

    Gentrol Point Source after the capsule has been opened, it releases microscopic particles that actually fly through the air on particles that are normally flying around. It could be considered slow release. As these particles float through the air they land on the roach causing growth abnormalities to immature roaches.

    Yes, you may use Gentrol Point Source under a kitchen sink but will only treat within the consealed area underneath the sink when enclosed.

    For the Gentrol Point Source when it states coverage as 75 sq ft, does the height of the room matter?

    According to the product label, you want to place one GENTROL POINT SOURCE device to treat up to a 75 square foot area surrounding it, but you want to pay particular attention to locations of roach or SPP activity. More devices may be needed in areas with a heavy roach infestation.

    How are the Gentrol Point Source Packs activated?
    A

    Activating Gentrol Point Source is as simple as squeezing the raised end of the plastic, adhesive-back device. This releases Gentrol IGR onto a filter paper. From there, it moves up to 75 square feet, damaging adult roaches and preventing them from reproducing.

    I have a bearded dragon and a fish tank, can I use Gentrol Point Source without harming them?
    A

    Gentrol Point Source covers about 75sq feet. Although, it should not harm the fish or bearded dragon, we recommend to use this product in a space not near the fish tank or bearded dragon.

    How many Gentrol Point Source would I need to use to treat a standard pantry cabinet?
    I understand it will treat 75 sqft but wouldn't I need cubic feet?

    Typically you would use 3-4 Gentrol Point Source in a kitchen, but one would be enough for just in the pantry.  It will spread up to 75 sqft from where it is placed.

    For a roach infestation in kitchen cabinets, is one Gentrol Point Station needed in each cabinet, or does one station penetrate all kitchen cabinets?
    A

    Each Gentrol Point Source Station treats up to 75 square feet for 90 days. Please be aware this product is an insect growth regulator which contains a juvenile growth hormone mimic that retards the growth of certain insects.  Gentrol Point Source Stations will cause the roaches to become deformed. It also will prompt the females to prematurely lay their eggs (the eggs will also be affected by the product).  Gentrol Point Source should never be used to eliminate a roach population by itself.  Gentrol will not kill roaches...it only prevents them from reproducing.  You should use roach baits like the Advion Roach Bait Gel and roach sprays like the Cyzmic CS in conjunction with the Gentrol Point Source. Please take a moment to look at our Roach Control Kits.

    Does Gentrol Point Source work on spiders?

    Neither Gentrol Point Source or any other IGR on the market will stop the reproductive cycle of spiders. You will just need to spray diligently with spider control insecticides in areas they would harbor.

    Yes, Gentrol Point Source packs can be used in cabinets where dishes are kept as long as they do not come into contact directly with dishes or any surfaces that food will come into contact with.

    Gentrol Point Source could be used under a couch if needed.  It spreads up to 75 square feet so is generally placed in areas of high activity.  Depending on the size of the treatment area, place 2-4 in the kitchen and 1-2 in each bathroom as these are the most common areas roaches are found.

    Can you put down Gentrol Point Source along with Gentrol Concentrate?
    Had an exterminator treat our townhouse for German cockroaches. He said that he uses Gentrol in his mixture, and I want to know if using the Point control would hinder the original application via sprayer. Is too much a bad thing and will repel the cockroaches and stop them from taking the bait that the exterminator put down.

    There would be no added benefit of using the Gentrol Point Source if the Gentrol IGR Concentrate has been applied.  It would not repel them from an area, but it would just be a waste of product since they work the same way.

    What are considered "Pantry Pests" on the Gentrol Point Source label? Are ants included?
    I have an ant problem at my new rental location. Will this work against those ants?
    A

    The stored pantry pests referred to on the Gentrol Point Source label include the red, confused flour and merchant beetles, ants are not on the label. Our ?Indoor Ant Kit? would help cover the ants dietary needs of sugar and protein, as well as an insecticide you can spray around baseboards, cracks, crevices and any other entry points including under the kitchen sink.     Where is the best placement of the device (above the treatment area or on the floor)?

    The Gentrol Point Source stations work better if placed in higher areas such as the cabinets above,etc.

    Can I use Gentrol Point Source for carpet beetles?
    A

    Gentrol Point Source is not labeled for carpet beetles. However, Gentrol IGR Aerosol and Gentrol IGR Concentrate are both labeled for Dermestid beetles and carpet beetles are a type of Dermestid. You should use Gentrol with an insecticide spray to help eliminate the infestation. When dealing with carpet beetles it is very important to find and remove the source of the beetles to get rid of them for good.     Will Gentrol Point Source stop affected bedbug instars from feeding?
    Tough question, I know.

    No  Gentrol Point Source will not keep the bedbugs or instars from feeding.  It is an insect growth regulator that will only effect their reproductive systems, not their feeding habits.

    Is it possible to have an allergic reaction to Gentrol Point Source?
    Recently I've put the discs everywhere and about the same time I've breaken Out into a red itchy rash every single day when I get home. Could these be related? Thanks
