Gladiator All-Weather Bait Blox contain the same active ingredient as Fastrac Blox.

Bromethalin is a neurotoxin and there is no antidote if children or pets consume the bait. If you have children or pets, it is recommended that you use Contrac Blox since every doctor and vet has the antidote, which is Vitamin K1.

Gladiator All-Weather Bait Blox from Agrisel is a quick and effective solution to controlling populations of rats and mice, especially Norway rats, Roof rats and House Mice. Gladiator Bait Blox are small, rough, all-weather baiting blox with many gnawing edges. A hole in the center of each block allows it to be placed on bait securing rods in tamper resistant bait stations. Gladiator Blox work well in any condition -- wet or dry, indoors or out. Fastrac Blox offers a lethal dose of active ingredient bromethalin in a single feeding, with the first dead rodents appearing in one or two days after bait consumption.

Application	HOW TO OPEN: Take a screwdriver or utility knife and break the notches in the lid, then it can be flipped up. Rats: Place 2 to 12 blocks per placement (usually at intervals of 15 to 30 feet). Adjust the amount of bait applied to the level of rat feeding expected at each station. Mice: Use 1 bait block per placement. Space placements at intervals of 8 to 12 feet in infested areas. Larger placements, up to 4 blocks, may be needed at points of extremely high mouse activity.

I purchased the Protecta Rat Bait Stations and Fastrac Blox for rental property in Atlanta where there was a significant rodent problem. I used the Fastrac Blox in the beginning and found them to be effective. However, I later experimented with the Gladiator Bait Blox, which have the same active ingredient as Fastrac. I put Fastrac Blox on one side of the Bait Station and Gladiator Blox on the other side of the same Bait Station. Interestingly, the rodents ate all of the Gladiator Blox first. After that buffet was gone they turned to the Fastrac Blox. There was definitely a preference for Gladiator Blox. The Fastrac have a fishy smell, while the Gladiator is more of a sweet odor. That could explain the preference for Gladiator. If you have a large rodent problem they will definitely eat a lot of bait, but it will kill them.

I purchased this product in July 2012. The rats and cock roaches ate all the bait each time I put it out. I don't think it killed any rats. I used the whole container in one week and decided not to order anymore. I went back to the store products. They also eat it all each time I put it out. My building is a stand alone house used for storage next to a vacant lot. I need to find a product that will kill the rats, and keep them under control for at least a few weeks.

Please find our Mouse control page. We recommend placing the tamper resistant Protecta Mouse Bait Stations around and against the outside perimeter of your home. The bait stations do not come with bait. You can use a single feed bait like Gladiator. Gladiator contains an agent called Bittrex, meaning if anything, but a mouse or rat were to try and eat the bait, it would make them spit it out.
