    Q
Is Glyphosate Plus Herbicide applied as a broadcast spray or spot treatment only where there are actively growing weeds? Will this kill my lawn if I spray the entire yard?
    A

Glyphosate Plus Herbicide is a non selective herbicide that will kill turfgrass, annual and perennial weeds as well as woody brush and trees. Unless you are wanting to kill the turfgrass as a bareground treatment, we would recommend only spot spraying target weeds directly. Any bare spots can be reseeded after 2 weeks.

Please view the product label for mix rates and more information.

    Q
What is the mix rate to treat 1250 sq ft? How much will a 2.5 Gallon Jug of Glyphosate Plus Herbicide cover?
    A

The area that Glyphosate Plus will cover depends on the rate you use, you can use anywhere from 0.7 oz to 13 oz per gallon of water. Since you only have 1,250 square feet, the 2.5 gallon jug of Glyphosate Plus will be more than enough.

    Q
Will Glyphosate Plus kill English ivy?
I have English ivy growing up a tree. Will it kill the ivy
    A

Glyphosate Plus can kill anything that is sprayed directly as it is a non selective, generic version of RoundUp.  You should avoid spraying ivy on the tree and instead pull the ivy off as much as possible to directly spot treat it.  Or very very carefully brush the mixed solution onto the ivy only.  You must avoid any contact with exposed roots and foliage of the tree itself

    Q
Will Glyphosate Plus Herbicide kill Japanese knotweed?
I have Japanese Knot Weed on a few acres here and cannot find anything strong enough to kill it. Will this work or do you recommend something else?
    A

Glyphosate Plus does list knotweed as a target weed on the product label at a rate of 6 - 12 fl. oz. per acre.  You will likely need to use the higher rate of concentration on this weed, as this is a very tough plant, and one application of herbicide will not kill Japanese knotweed, but will only weaken it.

    Q
Does Glyphosate Plus Herbicide work on Bamboo?
I have about 20 sq ft of bamboo I have cut but want to permanently remove. Will this product do that?
    A

Yes, apply Glyphosate Plus at the highest rates directly to the fresh cut stump of the bamboo after you cut it down level to the ground. Since bamboo roots go so deep, you may need to make repeat applications.

You may also use a brush and stump killer undiluted directly on the fresh stump.

    Q
Will Glyphosate kill english ivy roots?
    A
While Glyphosate Plus herbicide is not labeled to control English Ivy specifically, this is a non-selective herbicide that will affect any plants you spray with it. You should use at least a 2% solution (4 qts/acre or about 3 oz per gallon for small applications) for tough vines and woody plants. Repeat applications should be expected for ivy since these are difficult plants to control. You can view more tips on page 45 of the product label, as well as in this thorough article from your UC Extension.
