Certain insecticides may be combined with GrazonNext for application, provided that the mixing instructions outlined in the product label are adhered to. Please ensure that the insecticide is also approved for use in the same locations as GrazonNext and conduct a jar test.
GrazonNext HL Herbicide is safe for applications to wheat grown for hay however is not labeled for millet or rye which are both varities bearded wheat.
Express Herbicide with Totalsol Soluble Granule could be an option as it is labeled for wheat (including durum) barley, oats and triticale.

GrazonNext HL Herbicide is not labeled to kill poverty weed/Roosevelt weed.
Per the product label: GrazonNext HL provides preemergence control of germinating seeds or emerging seedlings of susceptible weeds and re-growth of certain perennial weeds following application. When to apply depends on your application type, either as a pre-emergent (before seeds germinate) or post emergent application (anytime weeds are actively growing).
You may contact your local cooperative extension office to determine the correct timing of the application as this will vary greatly from region to region or search online for best time to apply in (your area) for weed prevention. A lot of universities have great articles for this.
Your goats & any other animal may return once GrazonNext HL Herbicide has dried. Typically after 4-6 hours but you may wait up to 24 hours to beon the safe side.
According to the product label, it is advised that you wait until the next growing season to plant in or seed an area after treating with GrazonNext HL Herbicide.
"Drift control additives are a specific class of chemical adjuvant that should not be confused with such products as surfactants, wetting agents, spreaders, and stickers."

Unfortunately, we would not be able to advise on any reversal or recourse with hay already treated with GrazonNext HL Herbicide.
The manufacturer does advise/discuss prevention measures to prevent injury to desirable plants on page 1 of the product label stating“ Manure and urine from animals consuming grass or hay treated with this product may contain enough aminopyralid to cause injury to sensitive broadleaf plants.”

The product label for GrazonNext HL Herbicide only states it will control white clover and sweet clover but does not mention red clover as tolerant or controlled. Arrest Max Herbicide would be recommended safe for Clover (sweet, white and other species).

According to the GrazonNext HL Herbicide label: "GrazonNext HL can be applied at rates between 0.8 and 1.2 pints (13 to 19 fluid oz) product per acre in early to mid-spring when weeds are less than 2 inches tall; applications in this rate range are most effective when conditions are favorable for plant growth."

According to the product label, the manufacturer states not to use hay or straw from areas treated with GrazonNext HL within the preceding 18-months or manure from animals feeding on hay treated with GrazonNext HL in compost.
GrazonNext HL Herbicide should not be applied to seeded areas until the new grass has established. We recommend waiting until you have mowed the new grass at least three times or wait after 60 days, whichever is longer, before making an application.
