Bifen granules cannot be used in a hose end sprayer. They do require watering after application so they can begin to release the pesticide, but they do not dissolve in water completely right away so that is why you cannot use them in a hose end sprayer. They release and dissolve over time. That being said the
HandyGreen II Spreader does degrade over time when applying granules. We now carry a new spreader that is made to withstand the abrasive qualities of insecticidal granules. It is called the
Earthway Spreader and is made of metal instead of plastic. It will last for years and is worth the investment. If you want to spray your yard with a
hose end sprayer however Bifen is available in a liquid formulation called
Bifen IT.
