Features:
Adjust rate control to obtain desired amount of product. (Rate usage is usually found on insecticide product label) Do not pull trigger while filling hopper. Always fill the spreader on sidewalk or driveway (never on the lawn) and move to the starting point on lawn. Start spreader in motion by rotating crank clockwise and pulling trigger. Release trigger to stop spreader. To avoid misses or heavily covered strips, make each pass. (4 ft.) from the previous one.
Operate the spreader the longest direction of the lawn. First apply two header strips across each end to provide turning space. Go back and forth between the ends (see package instructions). Shut off spreader when approaching the header or trees. Turn off the spreader before coming to a complete stop. Keep the spreader off while backing or turning to avoid waste and possible lawn injury from over-application. Shut off the spreader just before getting to the trunk of a tree, start the spreader in motion on the other side, then turn and continue with the spreading pattern.
NOTE***For best results use spreader for only 1 product.***

Small granules dont work
By Ken on 03/31/2009
My experience with this spreader has been less than likable. I am in the pest control business and I use Talstar PL (which is a very fine granulated product). The problem I have had with the spreader is some of the Talstar gets in and around the stirring rod and stops it from turning, rendering it useless. I have gone through 3 of these spreaders with less than satisfactory results.

Breaks really easy

I am also in the pest control business and use this spreader on a very regular basis. The full plastic make-up of this product makes it very cheap and unreliable. I usually go through 1-2 of these spreaders per month. Please don't waste your money on this spreader.
Way Better Than Earthway

I have gone through two of these HandyGreen II Spreaders trying to spread out the bags of granules. Can the Bifen Granules be applied in a dispenser like Miracle grow that goes on the end of a garden hose? I am using the granules for flea control and it states to water the granules immediately after applying. If so, what would the mixture then be for 1000 sq ft. If not, what else can be used to spread these granules?
