This is a good trap. The only problem I have is getting a new door loop, the old one got weak and fell off. Can't find just the door loop.

Within 5 days of using this trap, I have captured 2 squirrels and one large skunk. These critters have been giving me a lot of grief for the past two years. I am very pleased to have found something that works since I have not been able to get them to move out by any other means.

I bought a Havahart trap over 3 years ago. I'll bet I've caught at least 100 grey squirrels, a few possums, and a dozen rats in it. I relocate everything to a park about 5 miles from my house. Fact is, for every squirrel I catch, 2 or 3 more come to take their place. Can't catch 'em all. Right now, it's in the attic waiting for a couple if squirrels that have chewed their way in there. Peanuts, oily sunflower seeds, and a dab of peanut butter seem to do the trick. Occasionally oil the parts that rub together for best results. (I kept the possums here.. they eat bugs and cause no damage.) Good product.

Set the trap to catch a squirrel that had been quite a pest for a while and take him back to the forest. Well, it worked like a charm but instead of a squirrel is was a skunk! Luckily my husband was able to take him to the forest with no odor problems!
