Leslie from Julian, Pa writes

I have a bare area that had lots of annual grasses (foxtail and Japanese stiltgrass).

This has been a problem area for several years. I'd like to plant a low maintenance now mow lawn there this season. I'm in central Pennsylvania. How do I get rid of the weed seeds and still plant grass?

Answer:

You can use a roundup type product like our Gly-Pho Sel Pro on any area where the unwanted weeds and grasses are. The GlyPhoSel will break down in the soil within about 1 week after its sprayed on the weeds/grasses and then new seed can be put down at any time after that.
