    Can hay now be mixed with herbicides

    Here is what the manufacturer says about tank mixing Hay - Now Liquid Fertilizer with other products: 

     
    When tank mixing any of the manufacturer’s products with other farm chemicals, always read and follow the label directions of the chemical(s) you are considering. The manufacturer suggests administering a jar test and/or a strip test before adding Hay-Now to your tank mix. When mixing with other farm chemicals, it is suggested to tank mix Hay-Now only after diluting the chemical according to label directions. Knowing the chemical’s "mode of action" (block photosynthesis) or metal content (copper based) will help determine the compatibility of Hay-Now. Once mixed or diluted, product should be used within 48 hours. Please call 800-978-6342 with any questions

    How many acre will the 2.5 Gallon Hay - Now Liquid Fertilizer cover?
    A

    Hay - Now Liquid Fertilizer is applied at 1 qt to 2 qts per acre in 20 to 30 gallons of water. There are 320 fl oz (10 qts) in the 2.5 gallon container so 1 jug will cover 5 to 10 acres.

    Is the NPK of Hay-Now Liquid Fertilizer for the undiluted concentrate or the final solution when mixed with water?
    My sprayer can cover 6 acres in 20 gallons.
    A

    Hay - Now Liquid Fertilizer has an NPK of 7-9-5. These numbers are the macro-nutrients Nitrogen, Phosphorus, and Potassium. The suggested application rate is 1 to 2 quarts diluted in 10-20 gallons of water per acre and to be used as a supplement to the current fertilizer program and is not recommended to replace the nutrients typically added to the soil.

    We suggest taking a soil test and have a qualified independent lab analyze the samples to determine nutrient levels in your soils and then follow recommended applications to ensure proper nutritional levels.

    Are there any restrictions regarding rain? How many hours should there be between applying Hay-Now and rain?
    A

    For best results when applying Hay - Now, we would recommend to let the area completely dry so the soil can take the nutrients in. Once it has been applied, we would recommend waiting at least 24 hours without rain

    When should I apply in the northeast

    Per the label, "Foliar apply Hay-Now anytime from early spring green-up thru fall. We suggest speaking with your county extension office for specific timing in your area.

    Per the label, apply Hay - Now every 30 to 45 days. Suggested application rate is 1 to 2 quarts diluted in 10-20 gallons of water per acre.

    How much to 50 ac
    A
    Hay - Now Liquid Fertilizer states to use 1 to 2 qts per acre, which would be equivalent to 50-100 quarts for 50 acers. So you would need 5-10 jugs for 50 acres, depending on which rate you use.

    Is it necessary or beneficial to apply before rain, or irrigate after application?

    The product label does not specifically state that it is necessary to apply Hay - Now Liquid Fertilizer before or after rain/irrigation. Please be sure to review the product label for more information and complete application instructions before use.

    Can I use Hay - Now Liquid Fertilizer as the starter fertilizer ?

     Hay - Now Liquid Fertilizer can be used as as a supplement to add in with your current fertilizer program. This product provides NPK and key micronutrients, but it is not intended to replace nutrients contained in other fertilizers.
