    Q
How long does Crossbow need to be on the plant to be an effective herbicide?

Crossbow Herbicide is rainfast ater two hours. The amount of time it takes for the product to kill the plants that have been sprayed depend on the plant itself. Q
Will Crossbow Herbicide kill briar without harming trees and grasses?
    A
Crossbow is a vegetation management product which means it is not very selective, it will kill almost anything.  Although it will not harm a tree when used at recommended levels if it gets on the base of the tree, it will harm a tree if you spray Crossbow on the foliage.  For applying over grasses you need to make sure you apply at the recommended levels on the product label.

  • Asked by Tim from Mcminnville, Or
    03/30/2015
    Q
After Crossbow is mixed with water, does it have a shelf life limit?
    A
Like with most liquid concentrates, we recommend that you only mix when you are ready to spray. Crossbow should be used within 24 hours of mixing. You should then rinse your equipment throuoghly. This will also prevent any damage in the long run to your sprayer. The storage shelf life of Crossbow Herbicide is 3-5 years if stored in a area that does not allow the product to freeze or reach over 80 degrees.

  • Asked by Kay from West Plains Mo
    05/18/2015
    Q
How long should I wait to plant flowers after using Crossbow Herbicide?
We cut down over grown 20 year old brush and weeds a week ago. We sprayed the entire area with crossbow (not even thinking about our new plants) and now I'm to afraid to plant my new plants and flower. To much money to waste on them just to die. :( what's the recommended time to wait before planting new plants and flowers?!
    A
Do not reseed treated areas for a minimum of 3 weeks following an application of Crossbow Herbicide. However, keep in mind that excessive amounts of this herbicide in the soil could inhibit seed germination and plant growth.

  • Asked by Jim
    07/15/2011
    Q
What is the best product to kill poison ivy and other weeds common to farm areas?
I own a small farm (36 acres 7 0f which are planted) the wooded area surrounding the planted area is full of poison ivy, briars and other common pests. They flourish around a stream that needs to be cleaned out but we need to get rid of the ivy and briars first. Would you also recommend a back pack sprayer.
    A
For the areas that are away from the stream it is best to use Crossbow which is great for the poison ivy and briars, mixed with a glyphosate product like Ranger Pro.  These together will kill the poison ivy and briars.  For areas on the bank of the stream you should use Rodeo with a Surfactant since Rodeo is labeled for use near water and will not harm the aquatic life.
