    Q
What's the difference in Headway G and Heritage G?
And would they be good products to alternate?
    A

Heritage G Fungicide contains Azoxystrobin at 0.31% and the Headway G contains both Azoxystrobin at the same 0.31% and Propiconazole at 0.75%.  The Headway G offers both a quick knock down as well as long residual control.

    Q
Are there any restrictions or concerns when using this product in a residential setting (e.g., dogs, runoff)?
    A
We strongly recommend that you fully read the Heritage G product label to learn all precautions and warnings. Heritage G does have the standard pesticide warnings regarding pets, people, and runoff. All pets and people should be out of the area where the application is being applied and they can return as soon as the area is dry. Do not allow runoff or over spray to get into any body of water or water supply as it can impact aquatic invertebrates.

    Q
Can Heritage G be used to cure a fungicide after it is already well developed and has killed the grass?
A large area of my St. Augustine lawn (approximately 40 square feet died a couple of years ago. I tried to re-sod the area last year and it died yet again returning the area to dirt. It has been suggested that I need to treat for fungus in the soil and a local gardener had suggested Heritage. Information I've read on the product states it must be used as a preventative when diseases are emerging. Can it be used to cure fungus in the soil without grass present? Is there a better product or method to cure my soil?
    A
Fungicides usually work best when applied as the disease is just beginning or as a preventative. We are not sure if Heritage will work for the treatment you described. We recommend calling the manufacturer as they are the experts on their product. You can reach Syngenta by calling 866-796-4368.

    Q
How many square feet does a 30lb bag of Heritage G cover?
I plan on applying this to my 1 acre fescue lawn in Northern Virginia for prevention. How much surface area does a 30lb bag cover? I'll need enough to cover at least 35,000 sq ft.
    A

Heritage G Fungicide is applied at rates of 2 to 4 pounds per 1,000 square feet, so you would need 70-140 pounds total to cover 35,000 square feet. Please view the product label for complete application instructions for your target disease.

Heritage G Fungicide would be a great product to use for Large Patch in your lawn as well as a variety of other potential diseases that could be present. You typically use 2 - 4 lbs. per 1,000 sq ft. of infected area and repeat application as directed on the product label.

    Q
Can Heritage G Fungicide be applied as a preventative? What is a good product to rotate to after? How many times to apply Heritage G Fungicide before rotating?
    A

Heritage G Fungicide can be applied as a preventative for the turfgrass diseases listed on the product label.  Either Eagle 20EW or Clearys 3336 DG Lite Granular Fungicide would be a great product to rotate to depending on what you are treating. We recommend to rotate fungicides every 3 applications.

    Q
Do you have a product for take all root rot fungus in St Augustine grass?
    A
Take All Root Rot is almost impossible to control. To try and control Take All Root Rot you can use Fungicides applied in early spring and fall such as  Heritage (azoxystrobin), Banner Max (propiconazole), Cleary’s 3336 (thiophanate methyl).

    Q
Will rain hurt an application of Heritage G?
Put Heritage G down, then had lots of rain. Is this going to hurt the application?
    A

Heritage G Fungicide requires to be watered in after the application so rain should not affect your application unless there's a chance for runoff. Also, if you received more than 1 inch of rain, then you may need to reapply at 14 days to make sure the residual is still there.

  • Asked by Bob from Gainesville, Ga 30504
    06/15/2012
    Q
If using a Earthway 2750 shoulder spreader what setting do I use to apply Heritage G Fungicide?
I have brown patch just starting what setting should i use on my broastcast spreader.
    A
The easiest way to determine the correct setting for your Earthway 2750 is:

If you need to use 2-4lbs of product per 1,000 sq ft you would  add 2-4 lb of product to spreader, start with a medium setting, then apply product to a 20 x 50 ft area (1,000 sq ft).  If you have product left, your setting is too low.  If you run out of product, your setting is too high. Because of the many brands of spreaders available the Heritage manufacturer does not provide the exact spreader settings.

  • Asked by Mike from Hoschton, Ga
    03/13/2018
    Q
When should Heritage G be applied?
treat brown patch in the fall. after nighttime temperatures get up to 70 degrees. my two brown patch areas seem to have gotten bigger this winter. I could use some specific info about season and temperature. I have recently purchased Heritage G and Cleary's 3336 from you but do not know when to start treatments.
    A

It is always best to apply a fungicide for prevention and rotate with options from different classes. You will rotate also for a curative treament when you have activity of a turf disease.  It is good that you purchased both products for rotation. There are some things you will want to do, also, that do not involve products such as minimizing shade on the property, improving any drainage issues, reducing the thatch in the soil, and watering your lawn earlier in the day. You should also have a soil analysis performed to determine the nutrients and the pH of the soil.

  • Asked by Morris from Northport, Al
    09/30/2018
    Q
Is Heritage G or Pillar G better for treating gray leaf spot on St Augustine?
I have been ordering Pillar G from you guys for this problem and it worked fine, however, on my last order I accidentally ordered Heritage G. I will use this, but was wondering your opinion for treatment in the future, the Heritage G or Pillar G?
    A

The Pillar G Instrinic Granular Fungicide label states that you should not apply more than two sequential strobilurin-based fungicides sequentially prior to rotation to a different mode of action or classification.  Pillar G and Heritage G both have a Group 11 classification so they would not be the best products to rotate to protect against fungicide and plant resistance. A better option would be a Group 1 fungicide like Clearys 3336G Fungicide or a Group 3 fungicide like Eagle 20EW
