Research has shown that Avid and Heritage together is an excellent combination of products for turf care, giving you both insect/nematode and disease control for overall turf health. Sometime specific products will have extra plant health boosting properties that can be hard to determine. The Avid + Heritage Multipack includes the Heritage WG (wettable granules) and Avid 0.15 EC.
We would suggest using Heritage G Fungicide by itself then you can use a fertilizer afterwards by a few days or even a week to not overload the lawn with chemicals.
Heritage SC does not list orchids as tolerant flower/ornamental on their product label and without knowing the disease you are treating, we cannot advise on a specific application rate.
The product label also states the following, “Heritage Fungicide may occasionally cause discoloration of flowers when applied directly to blooms of certain plant species. Not all varieties and colors have been evaluated.”
You always want to check the label of each product to ensure that it states it is ok to be tank mixed with other products. Then we usually recommend you do a small jar test, mixing both products in water in a small jar, shake it up and wait about 20 minutes to see if the products stay in solution, then you should be ok, however if they clump or separate then you would not want to mix those products together. Yes, Heritage SC is labeled to treat containerized plants. Per the manufacturers label: DO NOT tank-mix Heritage SC with other fungicides, insecticides, herbicides, fertilizers, or adjuvants unless local experience indicates that the tank mix is safe to ornamental plants.
Heritage Fungicide does not have any insecticides in it so it should not harm butterflies or birds. If you would like to take extra precaution you may apply while they are not in the area as it will not reactivate once dry
Heritage Fungicide is applied at 4-8 fl oz per acre in 100 gallons for rose blackspot. This generally breaks down to 0.04-0.08 fl oz per gallon. Please refer to the product label for complete instructions.
