The product label does note that light applications of Hi-Yield 2, 4-D Selective Weed Killer will injure white clover but that it may recover and repeat applications will be needed to kill the weed. Speedzone Southern is labeled for clover and for use on St Augustine grass. According to the Speedzone Southern product label: "The turf tolerance to this product may vary and temporary turf grass yellowing may occur on St Augustine. Do not apply Speedzone Southern to Floratam, Bitterblue or other improved species of St. Augustine. Please take a few moments to read through the product label completely for full instructions and other precautions".

Herbicides such as Hi-Yield 2,4-D that will kill most broadleaf weeds will also kill existing clover. We would recommend just spot treating the areas with undesirable plants and then reseeding with your clover as needed.

Unfortuntely, there is not much you can do after the product has been sprayed except to wait. You will want to keep a close eye on the turf where the product was used since the straight 2,4-D product could easily damage it. You may need to overseed if there are spots where the turf dies out. We would recommend waiting right now and being sure to fertilize and water the lawn so that there is not any other unecessary stress on it. Be sure to read and follow the product label when using this or any other herbicides.
