2, 4-D
By S. on 06/30/2017
I have used this product before and had good luck but this time I have seemed to get no results in killing the Creeping Charlie on my lawn. I used it as it is supposed to be with my hand held sprayer and the weed is still growing. Possibly have to try something else.
Expert response:
Thank you for your review. We apologize you are not getting the expected results. We would like to take the time to help troubleshoot with you. However, we will need a little more information from you. When did you apply the 2, 4-D and what type of turf do you have?

Great Ordering and Shipment, But "kill" Info Lacking
By Larry on 09/16/2012
Ordering and shipping through this company is the best I have ever experienced. However, the information that came with the product I ordered (Hi-Yield 2, 4-D weed killer) included absolutely no indication when "kill" results should be seen. Following the directions with great care, I hit the weeds (Rush Skeleton Weed) five days ago. So far there is no indication of results.

2, 4-D Selective Weed Killer
By Donald on 03/07/2025
I think the word 'Selective' is very important here, the product does kill large leaf weeds, but not much else, maybe 10% of where it was applied, but it certainly didn't kill the Grass; which is a good thing. I did read the mix instructions on my quart-sized the bottle, which are helpful if you are treating large areas, but not for domestic use, the mix quantities do not have any relationship to the container size! This product does work, but overall, not the best choice for domestic use.

Am not impressed with this product
By Dennis on 08/20/2015
2-4 D was recommended to me by someone in the landscaping business to get rid of the multitude of weeds that infest my lawn. I applied it last week with very little success. Although it did kill some of the weeds, it was no where near as effective as I thought it would be

Ornamental peanut (aka Golden Glory, Arachis Pontoi)
By Barry on 10/22/2012
I researched online for a selective weed killer that would not kill the ornamental peanut plants in my yard. These plants are also used as cattle forage in Florida and are used in many of the medians in Pinellas County. On the UF site, 2,D-4 was recommended. I further checked with the County Extension Office and after listing the weeds amongst the plants, I was advised that 2,4-D was a good selective broad leaf weed killer. Guess what?? It killed all the peanut plants as well as the broadleaf weeds.

Canadian thistle killer
By Alicia on 10/09/2020
We bought this product to kill the Canadian thistle in the yard. It won't even kill dandelions, much less Canadian thistle. My husband used the strength they recommended and it did not work. One week later he tried again with a little stronger solution and still nothing. They shouldn't advertise that it kills Canadian thistle or dandelions because it does not. When he called the company to complain about the product they tried to blame him by saying he had not measured it correctly and that the product had become resistant to it.
