2-4 D was recommended to me by someone in the landscaping business to get rid of the multitude of weeds that infest my lawn. I applied it last week with very little success. Although it did kill some of the weeds, it was no where near as effective as I thought it would be

Used this product on established onion grass. While it did seem to kill a few of the onion grasses most showed no effect at all. Perhaps multiple treatments are necessary, but I'm looking for a better solution to the onion grass problem.

I think the word 'Selective' is very important here, the product does kill large leaf weeds, but not much else, maybe 10% of where it was applied, but it certainly didn't kill the Grass; which is a good thing. I did read the mix instructions on my quart-sized the bottle, which are helpful if you are treating large areas, but not for domestic use, the mix quantities do not have any relationship to the container size! This product does work, but overall, not the best choice for domestic use.
