    Q
After it drys on the grass/plants and it rains or dewy does Hi-Yield 38-Plus Insect Control become toxic?
My dog tends to eat grass when her stomach is upset. Also she will lick her paws and I don't want her licking or eating grass that has been treated is that an issue? Also once it drys and becomes wet or moist can she lay in the grass with no issues?
    A
There will only be very small diluted deposits of Hi-Yield 38-Plus Insect Control on your lawn and the small amount that you pet may ingest should not have any effect. The rain will not cause the grass to become harmful to your dog.

  • Asked by William from Monroe, La
    07/16/2014
    Q
How do I trench around the house for termites, depth, and how close to house, it is a concrete slab.
    Using Hi-Yield 38
    A
Hi-Yield 38-Plus Insect Control - 38% Permethrin would not be the best product to do a trench around the perimeter of your home as it will only kill the termites that contact the treated soil.  We recommend that you use a non-repellent product such as Termidor SC for a termite barrier.  Termidor SC is the top termite product on the market. Termidor is completely undetectable by termites and once termites touch it they contact, ingest and spread the termiticide until it eliminates the entire colony. It will last 10 years or more in the soil.

  • Asked by Rhonda from Seymour, In
    09/15/2015
    Q
If your dog eat some grass sprayed with Hi Yield 38 Plus can it poison them?
    A

Once dry, Hi Yield 38 Plus will not be harmful to your dog if they eat the grass that was sprayed.  The small amount of active ingredient that is left behind is only enough to harm a small insect and would have to be ingested in large quantities to harm a dog.

  • Asked by Glenda from Corpus Christi,tx

    Q
Will Hi-Yield 38-Plus work for cockroaches?
    what is concentration for cockroaches
    A
Hi Yield 38 Plus can be used outdoors only for cockroaches (do not use indoors). According to the product label: Mix 1.6 fl Oz. (3 1/4 Tablespoons) of this product per 1 gallon of spray solution to make a 0.5% spray emulsion. Spray a 6 to 8 foot wide band of soil around the perimeter of the house. Treat the foundation wall to a height of 2 to 3 feet. Use a spray volume of 2 to 10 gallons of 0.5% emulsion per 1,000 square feet. If mulch or debris is present, a higher volume application rate may be needed to ensure adequate coverage. Note: Residual control will vary depending on exposure of the treated area to weathering conditions (temperature, sunlight, moisture). Retreat on a monthly schedule while insects are likely to be active. If you need to treat indoors we recommend our Roach Control Kit #2. This kit comes with all of the necessary products needed to treat an indoor infestation and enough product to use outdoors to stop new roaches from moving in.

  • Asked by Harizael from Puerto Rico
    03/08/2016
    Q
How much Hi Yield 38 Plus Insect Control per gallon of water do I need to treat infestation of termites?
    A

You would mix 1.6 fl oz of Hi-Yield 38-Plus Insect Control - 38% Permethrin with 1 gallon of water to make a 0.5% spray solution to treat active infestations only.  Please be aware that while labeled for termites, it will only kill the termites that are in the treated area or that are sprayed directly and would be a good preventative for them.  Termidor SC is a much better product that will help to eliminate the colony of subterranean termites and also be a great preventative when used in a trench around a home.
