    Hi-Yield 38-Plus Insect Control - 38% Permethrin will be diluted with water and the ratio will vary depending on the insect or insects that you are targeting.

    Wood Destroying Pests: Use a 0.5% emulsion to spot treat Lawn pests: 0.4 to 0.8 oz. in water (approx. 4 to 25 gallons of water) per 1,000 sq. ft. Ornamental pests: .04 to .08 oz. or .3 to .6 oz, depending on target pest, per gallon of water.

    How long before I can water lawn after application or Hi-Yield 38-Plus Insect Control - 38% Permethrin?
    How does rain effect it.

    It would be best to wait 24 hours to water your lawn and apply Hi-Yield 38-Plus Insect Control - 38% Permethrin when rain is not expected within 24 hours of application.  Once dry it will not be effected too much by rain and can last up to 30 days on outside surfaces.

    How much Hi-Yield 38-Plus do I mix for termites?
    My spray bottle only holds 32 oz.

    Hi-Yield 38-Plus Insect Control is meant to be used with a gallon pump sprayer. The mixing ratio is 3.2 fl. oz. (6.5 tablespoons) per two gallons of water. This can be used for localized treatments outdoors only. Please see our Termite Treatment Guide for tips and information about treating for this pest.

    What is most effective product and treatment against scorpions outside and inside our home?
    We currently have a bottle of "High Yield 38 Plus." The Permethrin content is 38%. Since we have this product, do you think it would be effective against scorpions? What other suggestion?
    A
    While you could use the Hi Yield 38 Plus for scorpion control, a better option would be something that sits on the surface better and lasts longer. Cy Kick CS and Onslaught FastCap Spider and Scorpion spray are the two best options for scorpion control. Both products are easy to mix with water and spray around the home. Not only will they kill scorpions, but will also kill all the other insects present around your home that they are feeding on. Since scorpions have thicker skin, you will need to spray a wider barrier around your home. Spray 2-3 feet up on the side and a minimum of 6 feet out on the ground. Make sure to also spray other entry points of the home like where wires/pipes enter the house, window frames and door frames.

You should apply <span new="" roman;="" font-size:medium"="">0.4 to 0.8 oz. Hi-Yield 38-Plus Insect Control - 38% Permethrin per 1,000 square feet outdoors. We would also recommend using an Insect Growth Regulator such as Archer with Hi-Yield 38-Plus. Please see our Flea Pest Guide for more information about flea control.

    What mix ratio for bagworm infestation of cedar trees for Hi-Yield 38-Plus Insect Control - 38% Permethrin?

    Hi-Yield 38-Plus Insect Control - 38% Permethrin is mixed at the rate of 0.04 to 0.08 fl. ozs. (1/8 to 1/4 tsp.) (1 to 2 ml.) per gallon per the product label.  For bagworms it needs to be applied when the larvae are young and before they form the bag.

    When applied to the lawn, how long does it last after watering the lawn or a rain?
    Should a mask be worn when applying this product to avoid breathing spray mist?

    Hi-Yield 38-Plus Insect Control - 38% Permethrin will need to be reapplied once a month for outdoor perimeter treatments and every 14 days for pest control on ornamental plants. Please take a few minutes to read over the Hi-Yield 38-Plus Insect Control - 38% Permethrin product label for complete instructions.
    Below are the Precaution Recommendations according to the MSDS Sheet.
    RESPIRATORY PROTECTION:
    Atmospheric levels should be maintained below the exposure guideline. For
    most conditions, no respiratory protection should be needed;however, if the exposure guideline is exceeded, use an air- purifying respirator approved for pesticides (U.S. NIOSH/MSHA, EU CEN, or comparable certification organization).
    EYE/FACE PROTECTION:
    Use chemical protective goggles or a face shield.SKIN PROTECTION:
    Wear coveralls or long-sleeved shirt and long pants, chemical protective gloves (nitrile,eoprene, or Viton® brand), head covering and shoes plus socks. For increased exposures, wear a full body cover barrier suit, such as a PVC rain suit. Contaminated leather articles, such as shoes, belts, and watchbands, should be removed and destroyed. Launder all work clothing before reuse. Keep work clothing separated from household
    laundry.

    Hi-Yield 38-Plus Insect Control can be mixed at 3.2 fl oz per 2 gallons of water for treating termites. Per the manufacturer, Hi-Yield 38-Plus Insect Control will not substitute a soil or foundation treatment and is not designed for preventative use.     Hi-Yield 38-Plus Insect Control - 38% Permethrin is NOT labeled for use on fruit trees and does specifically say "Non-Edible Ornamentals". We do carry a wide variety of products for use on fruit trees such as Bonide Fruit Tree Spray Concentrate, Thuricide Concentrate, and Captain Jacks Deadbug Brew Concentrate. Always be sure to  read the product label (available on individual product pages under the picture of the product) before purchasing to make sure it can be applied to the plants you need to treat for the insects you are trying to eliminate.

Spray evenly over the lawn when insects first appear. Repeat applications as necessary, but not more frequently than every 10-14 days. Do not apply more than 1.6 fl oz/1000 sq ft per year.

    And can we spray are beds?

    Hi-Yield 38-Plus Insect Control is not labeled for bedbugs and can only be used outdoors.  We offer bedbug kits that contain all of the different products you need to eliminate bedbugs and retreatments should be done every 14 days until you do not receive a bite for 30 days.  We also highly recommend using mattress and boxspring encasements to help eliminate bedbug infestations.     No The Hi-Yield 38-Plus Insect Control - 38% Permethrin is not labeled to use for bed bugs. It is ONLY for Outdoor Residential use: outdoor areas, ornamentals, lawns, trees, shrubs, vines, perimeter treatments, ornamental foliage, ornamental flowering plants, conifers, woody non-edible ornamentals, herbaceous non-edible ornamentals. Please take a few moments to look through our Bed Bug Guides to better assist you in what products to purchase. We strongly recommend that you use a variety of methods and products to insure bed bugs are eliminated from infested areas. Using only one product or method will usually NOT be enough to completely eliminate a bed bug infestation as bed bugs can become resistant to products and it is also possible for them to avoid areas that have been treated with certain products.

    My sprayer filter is continually clogging up with what looks like precipitated Permethrin-white and gooey stuff
    How do I prevent this?
    A
    We recommend filling your sprayer half way with water, add in the proper amount of product, place the top on the sprayer and shake vigorously, then remove the top and fill the sprayer the rest of the way with water.  The sprayer should work fine but you should only mix what you plan on using that day.  Solutions will clog a sprayer when it is left in the sprayer overnight or for a long period of time. So only mix what you are going to use right then and you should have no problems. You can also rinse the nozzle, filter and wand with hot water.

    Hi-Yield 38-Plus Insect Control - 38% Permethrin although, it may kill gnats that contact it, it is not labeled for gnats. We would recommend Talstar P which is labeled to treat for Gnats mixing at 1oz per gallon water.

    Once dry is Hi-Yield 38-Plus Insect Control safe for my cats? Is it safe near raspberry plants?
    I have 4 outside cats, I can keep them off until it dries, but am concerned about them absorbing it after it is dried. Lots of wild raspberry plants. Will the plant absorb the insecticide? Will the fruit be safe to eat?

    Hi-Yield 38-Plus Insect Control is safe for people and pets to be around after the treated area has dried. Hi-Yield 38-Plus is not labeled for application to bearing plants. We recommend Malathion 57% for raspberry and blackberry plants. Malathion is very versatile and can be used on many different edible vegetation plants.
