    Q
Will Hi-Yield 55% Malathion Insecticide Spray kill spiders?
    A

Hi-Yield 55% Malathion Insecticide Spray is not labeled for spiders so would not be recommended.  We do have a great Spider Control Kit that includes CB-80 Aerosol Insecticide for contact spraying, and Temprid FX, which can be applied indoors as a crack and crevice or spot treatment. This kit also contains glue boards, which are excellent tools for monitoring and for catching stray spiders indoors. Please see our Spider Treatment Article for more information and tips about preventing spider infestations.

  • Asked by Yvette from El Paso, Tx

    Q
Second opinion on use of Hi-Yield 55% Malathion Insecticide Spray
This insecticide was referred to me for gnats for my indoor house plants but now I'm seeing a lot of comments that's it's not safe for indoors?? My plan was to spray the plants outside then take the plants back in. So if it is not safe to do that, What would work best for those flying pests that are in the soil?
    A

Hi-Yield 55% Malathion Insecticide Spray is not labeled for indoor plant use so we would not recommend using it.  Instead we would recommend something like Talstar P, taking the plants outside to spray then once dry returning them inside.  Talstar can be used as a soil drench to kill any larvae in the soil as well as a foliar spray.

    Q
Does Hi-Yield 55% Malathion kill roaches and at what ratio?
Also, how do i use it to kill mosqutios in my back yard and mix ratio?
    A

Hi-Yield 55% Malathion Insecticide Spray is not labeled for cockroaches or for mosquitoes. If you're treating for these pests outdoors and not around an edible garden, then we would recommend to use Talstar P, along with Archer IGR to dirupt the life cycle for both pests and ExciteR to get a quick knockdown if you're dealing with high activity. We would also recommend to go over our Roach Control Guide and Mosquito Control Guide for further tips and information.
